Make a Ripple - Make a Difference

Good Morning, Doves

Just in Time

Just in Time

The bright December sun reflected through the ice crystals displayed intricately on my windshield. Brilliant, delicate designs splashed across the glass illuminated by the rays forming a masterpiece of art. Huddled in my car waiting for the comfort of the heater to thaw out my frozen face and hands, I marveled at God??™s beautiful handiwork and sat transfixed in God??™s peace and wonder.

Being a Home Helper, I arrived at my client??™s house about 15 minutes early. I stepped inside his 50 year old house and immediately smelled gas. I quickly checked the pilot light under the hot water heater, and it was on. Trying not to alarm him, I sat down for a few minutes to chat.

Within a few minutes, I started getting a headache and knew instantly that there was a problem and considered calling the Fire Department to check to see if there were any leaks. Walking into the kitchen, I glanced down and noticed the stove??™s knob was turned on without the pilot light being lit. I turned it off and threw open the back door and front screen door. I hurriedly ushered my client out the door and we went to my home.

We returned an hour later and the sky seemed brighter and the foliage on the trees seemed more brilliant after our ordeal. After we crunched up the walkway to his door I discovered that the house was completely aired out.

The realization of my Heavenly Father??™s care for me and my client today is an awesome thing. He could have either been killed by the lethal gas fumes or the house could have exploded.

God continually amazes me daily of His divine protection and love and especially during this special Christmas season. He truly had given me a valuable present to enjoy??¦.His protection which came just in time.
