The winter storm reaches out to enfold me in it's grip
as I wonder what will transpire; did I plan well, will
we keep electric power, will my staples hold out, and
the list goes on.
As I turn these things
over in my mind, I am reminded of the message from our
Father in Heaven who feeds the little sparrows;
knowing full well that I strive to service Him that he
will not deny me the needs of my life.
Sometimes, in these days
of concern over material matters, we forget to remind
ourselves that Jesus did not die in vain, He died to
save us from the wretched old sin of Adam; not to fret
as we live here on earth but to look to Him, the
author and finisher of our faith.
I plead with you as you
read these few lines that worry is of the devil and
not of our God, the Father. As the Word tells us,
worry is a symptom of low faith. Take your worries
and concern to the One who is faithful and just to
care for His own, we His children.

Consider the ravens; they neither sow nor reap,
they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet
God feeds them. Of how much more value are you
than the birds! Luke 12:24 |
