Make a Ripple - Make a Difference

Good Morning, Doves

Why God?
by
Bill Walker

Why, God? Why did you allow this to happen? Why, God? Did you do this to me??  Why? One hears this question many times in life, one may ask the question them selves, not once but many times.
There is many places in the Bible, stories about people. People that are good people, the few ups they may have,?  may have very few ups, sure got a lot of downs.?  Sometimes you read those stories, you find your self saying WHY? Who can answer the question? I am not? going to really try to answer the question, but I think there is reasons all things both , what we can call good, then there is the bads that happen. If you will read the Bible, God is good, he wants good for you and me. But there is that other fellow, you do remember him?? ? He is one of the three Angels the Bible names. That fellow by the name of Satan, he has so much power, his home is here on earth, he is the master of evil and bad. Now my thinking is the what we call evil and the bad things that happen is the works of Satan and his crowd. Up to the day that Adam and Eve did wrong, mankind, and animal kind was meant to know nothing but happy days.?  Satan with his lies changed all that. Therefore can we blame God for the bad things that happens?
I will leave you with something I have read many a time, and wrote into a story a time or two. It was wrote many a year ago, by an unknown soldier boy in gray found dead on a battlefield, in the War Between the States.
I asked God for strength that I might achieve,
? ? ?  I was made weak that? I might learn humbly to obey
I asked for health that? I might do greater things,
? ? ?  I was given infirmity that? I might do better things.
I asked for riches that? I might be happy,
? ? ?  I was given poverty that? I might be wise.
I asked for power that I might have the praise of men,
? ? ?  I was given weakness that I might feel the need of God.
I asked for all these things that I might enjoy life,
? ? ?  I was given life that I might enjoy all things.
I got nothing I asked for,?  but everything I had hoped for,
? ?  All most despite myself, my unspoken prayers were answered.
I am among all men, most richly blessed.
We are told many things in the Bible. One is to pray to God.?  We all ask, much like this poor unknown soldier boy. God in due time may answer our prayers, with what is good for us. I still in my small mind think a couple things. The Lord's prayer says it all. Ask for the simple things that is needed for today. The things that will get you, your needs to get through today. You will be like the poor soldier boy, today is the day, not tomorrow.?  You may ask, no harm in asking, but remember God will do what is best for you. You could ask for riches, but God knows you can't handle it, therefore it is just not coming.
Death is very hard to take, that is when a loved one is taken home, should we blame God??  Maybe we should look at it another way. The one taken home, their days of work, worry, and such is over here, they went home. The mansion is at last ready for them to move into.
Remember In the beginning. God made all things for you and I to enjoy. Who messed things up??  Adan and Eve thought Satan Ideas was just great.?  The lies of Satan and what Adam and Eve did is the reason for all the bads and troubles of this life, not GOD.
