Make a Ripple - Make a Difference

Good Morning, Doves

A New Year
by
Bill Walker

A New Year is upon us. Will it be better than last year? Was last year a good one, or was it a bad year?   I remember one thing my mother always said. "Life is what you make it."   Well I say this, do the best you can with the cards that you have to play.  You can't do much about the joker that is dealing the cards.

Now was last year bad or good?  Guess it all depends on the cards of life.  Is the next year going to be good or bad? Again it will be the cards  the dealer lays in front of you. We never know for sure when you get bad cards, that it may have not been a blessing.  Kind of like the fellow that had something to stop him from getting home on time.   He missed the bus you know?  What happened was the bus c rashed on the trip.  He might have been hurt or killed if he had been on time.

I think there was good days last year for any of us.  I also think there was some bad days.  Next year will be the same.  One should not always think nothing but bad happened.  There was some good also.  Remember this, God never promised a Rose Garden here on earth with out some thorns on the Roses.  He would like for us to have had a real nice garden, but Adam and Eve missed up.

Also remember if every thing was perfect, we wouldn't really have a need for God.  Come to think about it I guess that might be the big problem.  There seems to be a lot that thinks they are all powerful, and have no longer any need of God. Maybe that is why we are having a lot of bad days.  Wars, storms and such.

Happy New Year my friends.  May the blessings be many and find your door.

Bill Walker
