As you know, this is our slogan. I’m going to try to
“Make a Difference” this summer by joining a mission team and returning to
India. We will be visiting the northern reaches of India. Less than 3% of
the population there is Christian, but they have a hunger to learn more
about it. Our team of about 12 members will teach them about Jesus and
Christianity.
Last year, our team accomplished much. A new church
was commissioned, pastors were taught, and schools and homes were visited.
“North India Community Outreach” ( NICO ) is the ministry that we will work
with, once again. NICO operates sewing schools where young girls learn a
trade so they can enter the work force and earn a living. The girls’ school
is operated for young girls who are not able to be supported or cared for by
their families, or they are orphans. A small group, of which I am a member,
adopted a little girl last year. We will take care of all of her
financial needs until she is old enough to leave the school and support
herself. She's 7 years old right now. There are endless
other areas that need help. . . . . . . .And I need your help in order to
help them.
I need to raise about $4000.00 for the cost of the
trip. That’s where you come in. You can make a ripple too, by supporting
me in this endeavor.
