impactED? Thankyou for subscribing to the impactED newsletter.? I wont bother you all that often, and I will try to keep it short and sweet.? I will drop you a line when there is some interesting new content or juicy gossip. Please feel free to feedback any comments or suggestions. Drop me a line at feedback@impactednurse.com? I love to hear other peoples opinions or experiences of the health system. ? ? Reflections:We are certainly undergoing a lot of change at the moment in our emergency department some good, some not so good. Our fundamental problem is access block or simply put the failure of the hospital to meet the demand for beds placed on it by its own emergency department. Shortly, this problem will be compounded for us by increased pressure to offload all patients arriving by ambulance within 10 minutes.? Watch this space to see how we manage. Or not. ? ? Care of the Dead. Our attitudes on how we care for the living are often reflected by our attitudes on how we care for the dead. Respect and cultural sensitivity should always be maintained when dealing with the deceased and their families. Here is a quick introduction to the customs and rituals surrounding death held by some of the worlds major religions. This introduction is by no means complete and I welcome any additions you feel may have been left out. ? ? OK that??™s all for now. Take care. Ian Miller RN. |
