HI Everyone! Wow, I got alot of replies to my letter yesterday concerning the Tsunami tradgedy and their attitude about us....ya weren't too happy! I have two really great Daughters who both have Spinal Muscular Atrophy they are both in wheelchairs. We lost our home a year ago and had to move into my mom's home and it is not handicapped Accessible, I have written to the show Extreme Makeover Home Edition about 2 months ago and I would love for you all to send a prayer out that they come here to make things better for my kids we really need this. Julie~ ~~ Hi from snowy Wisconsin! just catching up on my email & wanted to drop yu a note. when you said that you read a post that people in the tsunami area don't want us to show our flags & the cross has to taken down from the red cross stuff, I think that's crazy enough to be true. I wasn't aware there was an aid orginization that was called White Flag. By God's grace I haven't gone through what those people have gone through. If I did though I'd like to know where the people were from that were assisting me & my couuntry men so I say thank you people of (whatever country). I think that was really sweet that your 15 yr old took care of Colton so you could sleep. Is your 15 old a boy or girl? If a boy you've probablly seen him use the child to attract females right? I am glad she recieved cards, we have wonderful subscribers!<HUGS> **Swamp Recipe Of The Day** ~Macaroni Minestrone Soup~ INGREDIENTS: 1 medium zucchini 1/4 cup olive oil, divided 2 carrots, sliced 2 stalks celery, sliced 1 onion, coarsely chopped 2 teaspoons salt 1/2 teaspoon black pepper 1 can (28 ounces) whole plum tomatoes in puree 6 cups water 1/2 cup macaroni or ditalini 2 cups mixed vegetables 1 can (19 ounces) chick peas or cannellini beans 1 tablespoon dried basil 1 clove garlic, minced 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese Preparation Time: 20 minutes Cooking Time: 45 minutes Serves 6 1. Halve zucchini lengthwise; cut halves crosswise into 1/4-inch slices. In a large pot, heat 3 tablespoons oil over medium heat. Add zucchini, carrots, celery, onion, salt and pepper; cook, stirring, until onion starts to brown. 2. Add tomatoes with puree, crushing with back of a spoon, and the water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low; simmer for 30 minutes. 3. Increase heat to medium-high; add pasta, mixed vegetables and chick peas. Cook until pasta is tender, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat. 4.
