EARTHQUAKE CAKE 5 ounces chopped pecans (about 2/3 cup) 7 ounces shredded coconut 1 German chocolate cake mix* 8 ounces cream cheese, softened 1/2 cup margarine (1 stick) 1 box powered sugar (about 4 1/2 cups) Grease a 9 X 13 pan. Spread pecans in pan. Sprinkle coconut over pecans. Prepare cake mix as directed and pour over pecans and coconut. Mix cream cheese, margarine and powdered sugar until smooth. Drop by spoonfuls over the batter. Bake 40 minutes** in a pre-heated 350 degree oven. This cake doesn??™t look spectacular but tastes wonderful! *I use which ever kind of chocolate cake mix I have on hand. **I think the last time I baked this cake, I added 5 minutes to the baking time.
