There were people lined up in the rain for hours just waiting to get into the building! I guess they have a capacity for the building so people just had to stand outside and wait til other families were done, then they would let some other people in. So, we didn't go....we went to eat and I came home with Colton who was ruining everyone elses time throwing a fit and trying to stand up in his highchair. He was so tired so I came home with him while Kip took the kids bowling. I wanted to go but ya know how that is...I would be chasing Colton around while he bucked and screamed everytime I picked em up while everyone else had fun! Sound familiar?? Thank for your email!! <HUGS> **Swamp Recipe Of The Day** Thank You Joan! ~Rock-N-Roll Ice Cream~ Who says you need either a hot day or an ice cream maker for ice cream? You'll need: 1 large [2 lb,.7 oz] coffee can with lid 1 small [1 lb] coffee can with lid duct tape 1 pint half-and-half or light cream 1/2 cup sugar 1 tsp vanilla 6 to 7 cups crushed ice 1/4 cup rock salt Method: In the smaller coffee can, combine half-and-half, sugar, and vanilla, stir well. Place a thin layer of crushed ice on the bottom of the large coffee can. Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of the salt. Duct tape the smaller coffee can lid around the edge so it won't leak. place it in the center of the larger coffee can. Pack the ice and salt around the smaller can. Use 2 tablespoons of rock salt for every cup of ice. Put the lid on the large coffee can and duct tape securely. Have the kids roll the can back and forth for about 15 minutes--protect the counter-top with a towel or use the driveway--teehee. Take off the duct tape from the larger can and lift out the smaller can and again remove the duct tape and lid. Scrape down sides and stir all the ice cream together. If the ice cream is too soft, repack with fresh ice and salt; replace lids and duct tape. Roll back and forth a few more minutes until firm.
