I was watching my states local public TV channel (North Carolina) this morning , and could not wait to tell you of what I heard. There was this woman with who went to live in Africa with her family at the age of 7, she had all the appropriate shots before she left the country, when she got there and some months later she contracted polio, she had been wheel chair ridden ever since. Years passed and she married, right after that she became almost totally immobile from the pain, the doctors gave her pain killers and said they had tried everything, but could not help her anymore. She heard about upper cervical chiropractic, had a doctor administer this therapy to her and turned her life around and set her pain free. Her and her husband has launched a non-profit crusade to get the word out to people who suffer from anything from MS to TN-the striking pain which occurs in the face) to digestive problems to migraines, and the list is never-ending. The thing that this upper cervical chiropractic practice deals with is setting your atlas. I don't know if you have ever heard of this, but I haven't. She said that only 2,000 doctors in the US practice this. I was astounded by what she had to say. There were testimonials from people in the studio audience, in particular there was this man about 50 some years of age that had TN, and in three doctor visits he was pain free, he even slapped his face to show everyone that there was no pain, he said that people with TN could not even stand to touch their face because the pain was so excruciating. She went on to tell that how if we as adults would also take our children as early as infants to have this procedure done that they may never have to experience any of the inflictions we adults are now suffering. She said that this procedure deals with light tapping around the neck and laying someone out to tell how out of line their atlas is. It showed a doctor demonstrating how someone's atlas out of line would make there whole body shorter on one side, such as one knee being higher than the other by even inches. Ok sorry to babble on but I would have given anything if you had been hear to see it. What she said made so much sense, it was just something that struck me and said you have to write her and tell her, YOU that is!! I hope you will look into this. They gave a number but I was not quick enough to write it down, but the doctor in my area is Dr.Drury n Charlotte, NC, I did get that info. I don't know if you have the means to call long distance but I could call for you and find out the name of doctor that's closer to you. Or you can probably find him on the web. She said that everyone responds different to the procedure,as far as the time frame in which they feel better, but they all do respond, and get better.Your daughter has been on my mind so much since I heard of her pain that when I seen this something told me to let you know as soon as possible. This definately could not hurt to look into, and the thing that also amazed me that the husband and wife team that promotes this does not receive any compensation what so ever for this, there just has to be something to it I feel. Thank you so much for thinking about us, you are very appreciated I am ready to look into anything I can....thank you so much again and HUGS!!!! **Swamp Recipe Of The Day** ~Quick Pork And Potatoes~ 1 1/2 pounds red potatoes, quartered 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 teaspoon dried thyme, crumbled 1/4 teaspoon salt 2 pork tenderloins (10 ounces each) 2 tablespoons grainy mustard 1 tablespoon soy sauce 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar 1 tablespoon brown sugar Preparation Time: 5 minutes Cooking Time: 40 minutes Serves 4 1. Preheat oven to 450F. In a roasting pan, toss potatoes with the oil, thyme and salt. Cover with foil; cook for 20 minutes. 2. Meanwhile, with a small sharp knife, cut slits in the tenderloins at 1-inch intervals. In a bowl, whisk the mustard, soy sauce, vinegar and brown sugar; rub over the meat. In a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, brown the tenderloins all over. 3. Remove the foil from the potatoes and stir them. Place the tenderloins in the center of the pan and roast the meat and potatoes until the pork is just cooked (155F on a meat thermometer), about 20 minutes. 4. Transfer the pork to a cutting board. Cover and let rest for about 5 minutes. Carve the meat into 1/2-inch-thick slices; drizzle with pan juices.
