Jobs are few and far between where I live. ? I have applied to a company 50 miles away and I have excellent references and have worked for the same company in another city so I am well qualified. ? I haven't heard back yet from the woman I sent the resume to and I was wondering if I could ask for prayers. ? I really need a job (money is running low) and it would be easier for me to work for this company as I know all the computer systems, etc and wouldn't require training. ? Please pray that I hear from them. ? Many thanks. ? Brenda Everyone please say a prayer for our Brenda!! **Swamp Recipe Of The Day** ~Chicken Quesadillas~ "This is a great recipe for parties. Freeze the leftovers; they reheat quite well. The zesty chicken and cooked peppers are a succulent delight when mixed with the melted cheeses. Cut the quesadillas into wedges and serve with sour cream and salsa." INGREDIENTS: 1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breast halves 1 (1.27 ounce) packet fajita seasoning 1 tablespoon vegetable oil 2 green bell peppers, chopped 2 red bell peppers, chopped 1 onion, chopped 10 (10 inch) flour tortillas 1 (8 ounce) package shredded Cheddar cheese 1 tablespoon bacon bits 1 (8 ounce) package shredded Monterey Jack cheese DIRECTIONS: Preheat the broiler. Cut the chicken into small cubes and prepare with the fajita seasoning mix. Broil 5 minutes, or until the chicken is no longer pink on the inside Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Mix in the seasoned chicken, green bell peppers, red bell peppers and onion. Slowly cook and stir 10 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender. Layer 1/2 of each tortilla with Cheddar cheese, chicken mixture and desired amount of bacon bits. Top with Monterey Jack. Fold the tortillas. Bake in the preheated oven 10 minutes, or until the cheese has melted. ~ *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ F*reebie Swamp ? joke of the day! ? *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ If Rednecks Ruled The World.... Nodding and looking at his watch would be deemed an acceptable response to "I love you." Hallmark would make "Sorry, what was your name again?" cards. When a wife really needed to talk to him during the game, she'd appear in a little box in the corner of the screen during a time-out. Breaking up would be a lot easier. A smack ? and a "Nice hustle, you'll get 'em next time" would pretty much do it. The funniest guy in the office would get to be CEO. "Sorry I'm late, but I got really wasted last night" would be an acceptable excuse for tardiness. At the end of the workday, a whistle would blow and he'd jump out his window and slide down the tail of a brontosaurus and right into his car like Fred Flintstone. It'd be considered harmless fun to gather 30 friends, put on horned helmets, and go pillage a nearby town. Lifeguards could remove citizens from beaches for violating the "public ugliness" ordinance. Tanks would be far easier to rent. Garbage would take itself out. Instead of beer belly, you'd get "beer biceps." Instead of an expensive engagement ring, he could present his wife-to-be with a giant foam hand that said, "You're #1!" Valentine's Day would be moved to February 29th so it would only occur in leap years. On Groundhog Day, if he saw his shadow, he'd get the day off to go drinking. Mother's Day, too. St. Patrick's Day, however, would remain exactly the same. But it would be celebrated every month. Cops would be broadcast live, and you could phone in advice to the pursuing cops. Or to the crooks. Regis and Kathie Lee would be chained to a cement mixer and pushed off the Golden Gate Bridge for the most lucrative pay-per-view event in world history. The victors in any athletic competition would get to kill and eat the losers. The only show opposite Monday Night Football would be Monday Night Football from a Different Camera Angle. It would be perfectly legal to steal a sports car, as long as he returned it the following day with a full tank of gas. Every man would get four real Get Out of Jail F*ree cards per year. Faucets would run "Hot," "Cold," and "100 proof." The Statue of Liberty would get a bright red, 40-foot thong. Daisy Duke shorts would never again go out of style.
