This summer in this area has not been a good one, we have had alot of tragidy and need some prayers. Last night at our local fair, a friend of my son's was hit in the temple area with a baseball, she was airlifted to Sioux Falls SD hospital unable to breath on her own and also unressponsive. Before she arrived at the hospital, she was able to start breathing on her own and was waking up. But prayers for this family would be greatly appreciated. This community was hit earlier this year with the death of a 5 year old girl from a reaction to medication given at the time and MRI was being preformed. July 8, another student was injured in a ATV accident and is still in the hospital. A classmate of mine, lost their baby 40 min after he was born. Our community needs the prayers of all those that will give them to us. Next week Thursday! (25) it will the one year anniversay of my twin aunt passing away during a routine back surgery, that day is going to be tough. Please if you could ask your readers to keep Windom, MN in their prayers, would be greatly appreciated. I also look forward to reading your letter everyday and learning about your family. Thank You for the wonderful compliments as well! *Swamp Recipe Of The Day** ~Berry Cheese Brownies~ TY Kimm! Berry Cheesecake Brownies Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method 6 ounces semisweet chocolate -- chopped 1/2 cups butter 1 1/4 cups sugar 4 eggs -- divided 2 1/2 teaspoons vanilla -- divided 3/4 teaspoon salt 3/4 cup flour 8 ounces cream cheese 1 tablespoon lemon juice 2 tablespoons flour Preheat oven to 350F. Butter and flour a 13x9-inch baking pan. Combine chocolate and butter in a heavy saucepan and melt over low heat, stirring frequently. Cool and pour into a mixing bowl. Stir in 3/4 cup sugar. Whisk in 3 eggs, one at a time, 2 teaspoons vanilla and salt. Stir in 3/4 cup flour and pour into the prepared pan. In a bowl cream together cream cheese with 1/2 cup sugar with an electric mixer at medium speed until fluffy. Beat in lemon juice, 1 egg, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla, and 2 tablespoons flour until smooth. Spread in an even layer over brownie batter. Sprinkle with berries and bake 35 to 40 minutes, or until top is puffed and tester comes out with crumbs. Cool in pan on rack. Chill to set. You have to go outside to get something out of the 'fridge. If going to the bathroom in the middle of the night involves putting on shoes (if you have them) and a jacket and grabbing a flashlight. You have to go down to the creek to take a bath. You wish your outhouse was as nice as those at the state park. Your classes at school were cancelled because the path to the restroom was flooded. Your truck was regional finalist in the mud pit event at the Monster Truck Rally but it rained overnight and you couldn't make it out of your driveway. The directions to your house include "turn off the paved road." You have borrowed gravel from the county toad to fill potholes in your driveway. Getting a package from your post office requires a full tank of gas in the truck. You get mud on your tires when you visit your parents.
