My Reply:

It's called intrusive  surveillance and Unum does it on purpose.   A good PI will not be seen but Unum has their PIs make themselves obvious so as to terrorize their victims.

My advice has always been to turn the tables on the bastards.  Carry one of those quickie disposable cameras with you and take a picture of the PI, especially their license plate. Most of them are paranoid and don't like that.  Rattles the hell out of them since they can easily lose their PI license for being purposely intrusive and terrorizing people. They are supposed to be unobtrusive and are trained for that; so when they aren't they are doing it on purpose. A lot of cops don't like PIs, although some PIs are retired cops. But others, the bums Unum hires, are disreputable and the cops don't like them - so you may get cooperation on a complaint about stalking and terrorization.
