CORPORATE CRIMEFIGHTERS OF AMERICA -- Oct 25, 2007

Exposing the Crimes of UnumProvident and other insurance companies

////////////////////////////// ////////////////////////////// ////////////////////////////// ////////////

THE MAIN REASON

I'm sending this, since I don't have a lot of Unum news, is my computer is acting up and getting a lot oF chkdsks.  If the drive fails it may be a while until I can afford another computer, so if I'm out of contact for a while, that's why. Geez, this is a two-bit operation ;') But of course, the Devil designed things so the bad guys have all the money.

Incidentally, someone named D.  called Judy Morris for my phone number. If you're a subscriber, send me an email and I'll give it to you. I'm on a pay-as-you-go cell plan so I don't want to publish the number. Also, telemarketers have just been released to use all phone listings, so expect junk calls. Sure is nice how our "representatives" are protecting us from phone-predators. Oh sure, you can go on the National Do Not Call List. Except that like most government inefficiencies it doesn't really work. There are lots of exceptions and loopholes. I'm still getting junk calls even though I'm on the list.

BUSH VETO OF CHILD HEALTH BILL SUSTAINED

18 Oct 2007 House Democrats were unable Thursday to override President Bush's veto of their pre-election year effort to expand a popular government health insurance program to cover 10 million children. The bill had bipartisan support but the 273-156 roll call was 13 votes short of the two-thirds that majority supporters needed to enact the bill into law over Bush's objections. The bill had passed the Senate with a veto-proof margin.

Eight in 10 Americans favor expanding the State Children's Health Insurance Program, or S-CHIP, including large majorities of Republicans, Democrats, and Independents.

While the president has raised concerns about the additional cost of expanding S-CHIP, those who favor the proposal say they'd even be willing to pay more in taxes to help the program cover more children.

Webmaster's Comments: I hate to point out blatant hypocrisy and mean-spiritedness, but isn't this the President with the biggest deficit in history, who is throwing trillions at a war based on lies, including plenty of graft to corrupt no-bid contractors?  Yet a comparatively tiny amount for children's health is too much? I used to think this guy was just a bonehead, but I'm beginning to think he does evil things on purpose.

Both parties are in favor of this, so for Once it's not even political. And it sure doesn't have to do with balancing the budget, with eighty billion more being asked for a two-trillion-dollar war that had Nothing to do with WMDs or Al Quaida. If we had invaded Saudi Arabia it would have made sense, since that's where the terrorists were actually housed, funded and inspired.

Even Alan Greenspan admits the war is only about oil to fill our big Hummers. If you own a Hummer, you or your children should volunteer for military service, since that's what it's really all about.

Well, enough of my rant. This just stinks. Children should be protected. It's not their fault if their parents are poor. They don't choose who they get born to. Heck, a lot of us would like a do-over on that ;') Come to think of it, small business owners, who work really hard, often can't afford health insurance. If you work for certain big companies or the state, city or federal government, you get it free. It's a totally patchwork and insane system that is basically unfair.

AMERICAN NAZI DOCTORS

http://upalumni.org/medschool/appendices/appendix-65b.html

When some of you wonder how a doctor could lie and cheat for UnumProvident, here is a grim history of nazi-style medical experimentation done by American doctors on our own citizens - right up to the late nineteen eighties. (And perhaps it is still going on. I know we have a brutal sadist of a sheriff here who wouldn't hesitate to infect prisoners.)

WHAT THE DEADOCRATS ARE AFRAID TO EVEN PROPOSE

Al Gore has been on record supporting single payer for at least five years now.  A video was recently released in which he supports single payer.

Webmaster's Comments: Well, that makes sense. The only Democrat who doesn't have his head up the rear of the insurance companies Isn't running. The rest want more insurance company control of our health system. We already know the Republicans are totally pro-corporate, but The party of Spineless Wimps has also struck out. The Democrats used to at least Pretend to be on the side of working people instead of corporations. We now have a two-party, insurer-run political system.

Which means we get to vote but we get No choice. Even if you have doubts about single payer because the insurers are planting false stories about Canada, you have to agree that voters should have Some right to choose. I've spokent to Canadians and they say the letters from "Canadians" decrying their system, that are circulating on the net, are bogus and full of lies. At present the choice between parties, regarding health care, is the choice between Tweedledum and Tweedldee. (Go re-read "Alice in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking Glass." It will make you feel better ;')

TEN THOUGHTS TO LIVE BY

1. Thou shalt not worry, for worry is the most unproductive of all human activities.

2. Thou shalt not be fearful, for most of the things we fear never come to pass.

3. Thou shalt not cross bridges before you get to them, for no one yet has succeeded in accomplishing this.

4. Thou shalt face each problem as it comes. You can handle only one at a time anyway.

5. Thou shalt not take problems to be with you for they make very poor bedfellows.

6. Thou shalt not borrow other people's problems. They can take better care of them than you can.

7. Thou shalt not try to relive yesterday for good or ill -- it is gone

Concentrate on what is happening in your life today.

8. Thou shalt count thy blessings, never overlooking the small ones, for a lot of small blessings add up to a big one.

9. Thou shalt be a good listener, for only when you listen do you hear ideas different from your own. It is very hard to learn something new when you are talking.

10. Thou shalt not become bogged down in frustration, for 90 percent of it is rooted in self-pity, and it will only interfere with positive action.

11. Expect the unexpected.

My appeal for funding seems to have gotten so old that nobody is noticing it, so I'll keep changing the colors lest it be overlooked..

Support our work so you can continue to get information and so we can warn and help others. Ten bucks a month, or send a larger one-time donation. I'd like to support this entirely by myself but I've made a number of mistakes since coming to AZ, including the wrong "friends," and wrong decisions.  Besides, it's only right that this be a group effort. I'm far from perfect, but I'm the only one doing this and I think I'm good at what I do. With more support I could really ramp it up to what it should be.

Donate A One-Time Kickstart Amount or

Ten Bucks a Month or both if you are a real angel.

Or send a check here if you don't use PayPal, although they do now take credit cards.
