One More Fighter Down

Just a very quick announcement. I am sad to relate that Dr. Judy Morris, the original inspiration for this site, passed away yesterday. Of course, she died before Unum had paid her fairly - thats the game of these vile men (and women). Just wait people out until they die, go crazy or give up.

Since I am not yet sure who is handling her affairs, any condolences, cards, or letters can be sent to my usual box number and I will bundle and forward them when I find out.

I know I haven't done newsletters for awhile. I'm doing what good old George Bush praised some woman on TV for, working three part-time temp jobs to keep afloat. (Although, like most born politicians, he never worked an honest day in his life.)  Transportation takes a lot of time, sans vehicle, so I have little time or energy left to do CCofA properly.

I'm hoping to get things in order at some point - or maybe a donation will come in so I can quit one job for a month or so, and get Corporate Crimefighters back on track. I haven't given up. I'm just in a lull. Someone suggested I take the site down because Judy passed on, but for a long time it's not been just about her - but about the hundreds of thousands of other Unum victims.

I really can't promise to keep this going forever, because everything in this world changes. But for now it would give Unum too much satisfaction if two fighters retired at the same time.  I would rather go out in a blaze of glory as their stock tumbles and their managers go to prison ;')

I had my differences with Judy, but she was basically a very good human being with a heart of gold and a vast intellect. Her disease sometimes made her impetuous, so we didn't always get along - but that was the disease, not her.

I hope you all are well.

I am sure the demons at Unum are a bit happier now.

Don't worry - I'm not as dark as I sound. I still beleive that, in the end, good will prevail and their tower will come crashing down.

Judy was quite ill for years, not very happy, and enmeshed in a terrible battle with a monster, although she did often show sparks of joy and wit. She is now better off in a place where nothing like Unum exists.
