Subject: Re: [Mahajanapada] REJOINDER TO YOGENDRA YADAV

Dear CK,

A very similiar incident is going on in Rajasthan, Farmers are organsing struggle to re-open the Indira Gandhi Canal. Many villages around the Canal have no water for drinking and agricultural needs but the BJP govt. is not ready to open the canal in this struggle so far more than 15pesants are killed by BJP govt. of Rajasthan. This struggle organised and leadership given by CPM.

I don't understand why our Left/Right intelectuals have no say on this issue. Why Medha Patkar or Sukal Sen like Intelectuals who are fighting for decades for the issues of Indian Villages and Pesants have no say on this issue? Why the Naxals, SUCI, Maoists and our so called Media have no say? More than 15 farmers are killed already by police but no chaso by our Intelectuals WHY?

At Tamil Nadu, CPIM is the only party focused on Dalit Issues. In many villages people are not allowed to wear sandles, not allowed to enter the temples and in Many Dalit reserved Panchayats they are not allowed to sit on the Presidents Chair. DYFI is organising many struggles in Tamil Nadu.

We have never saw any Intelectuals condemning the issues related to dalits in TN. How many media had given attention to such incidents. I have not seen any of you forwarding an email send by Yogendera Yadav about the issue WHY?

It is very much evident that in tomorrows India CPM have a very big role in organising Pesants and Farmers struggles. A third alternative for indian mass is possible with the growth of CPM. Insted of making this possibility more bigger why Medha Patkar and Sukla Sen like eminent intelectulas are engaged in an anti CPM Phobia?

How many struggles after Narmada organised or supported by Medha Patkar find a success? From the Plachimada Cola Factory issue to evacuation of the oppressed in Kerala from a govt. Land in one Kerala village almost all her Struggle end with no Success but a Media Attention all these struggles achieved isn't it? What about the CK Janu of Kerala the so called Massiha of Dalit issues. She become an International Brnad beyond that what is the end of that struggle?

Where as almost all the issues CPM focused are gaining more public support and they are leading it to a meaningfull end.

All together what I understand from these issues that CPM growing as a third alternative with proper outlook on many issues related from Pesants to industrialisation is a THREAT to many in their own politics from the extreme left to extreme right. They are altogether in opposing the CPM.

Is it the time to attack and defeat a left govt. in India? Destroying the Indian dreams of a third alternative will benefit to whom?

Organisations like NAPAM and intelectuals and activists like Sukal Sen and Medha Patkar it is very important that stoping the growth of CPM in India because it depends on the growth of their new born party.

Last several decades religious riots and fundamentalist lobby was successfully destroying the agenda of indian mass. WTO, GATT to Globalisation and Neo liberalisation policy successfully implemented in India with such dark forces attacks and terror. Now these forces are loosing its strength, indian mass understanding the real issues of India. Almost all elections Pro-Globalisation forces lost their agend in India but still because of the lack of a third alternative the same class namely BJP and Congress continued same policy of globalisation.

The support to UPA by CPM is working and the best example you can see in Kerala. More than 35 Public Sector units closed by previous Congress govt. start making Profit, in coming years CPM is hopeful that profits from the Public Sector can pay off Keralas debts. Investment in many huge projects which was blocked for last 40years gaining momentum. Defence Ministry forced to undertake/invest in Keralas Public Sector. Brahmos Missile will be sooner or later start manufacture from Kerala. Indian Railway is also investing in Kerala. The CPM support to UPA is the only reason of these developments and changes.

On the other side too many pension schemes and support to dalits and oppresed govt. started. More than 25,000 Acre Land acquired, Notified to give tribal population.

Extreme Left to Extreme right have many reason to oppose CPM but right now the way our intelectuals and activists opposing CPM is nothing but equal to destroy indian mass' dream to build up a third alternative.

Subject: NE Girls molested by Delhi Police!

Kuki protesters in court, sent to jail
     OUR SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT, Telegraph India

A policeman escorts two of the protesters in New Delhi on Saturday. Picture by Ramakant Kushwaha New Delhi, March 24: The Kuki students who were arrested here yesterday on charges of “rioting” were today produced in court and subsequently sent to Tihar jail. Their bail plea has been fixed for Monday. The students today levelled allegations of “racism” against the police and accused them of “molesting” some of the girls who had taken part in a demonstration against the alleged abduction of over 300 Kukis from Manipur’s Chandel district by the United National Liberation Front. The students alleged that 30 of the 138 people arrested and produced in Patiala court were not even part of the protest march taken out by Kuki students from Jantar Mantar to Parliament Street yesterday. Grace Don Nemching, president of Siamsin Pawlpi, a Paite students’ organisation, alleged that after an altercation with policemen near Parliament Street police station, the police chased the fleeing protesters for about a kilometre till Connaught Place. At this point, the police randomly arrested people from the Northeast on the basis of their facial features. “This clearly indicates a racist connotation on the part of police and that is painful,” she added. Some girls in the procession have complained to Outer Manipur MP Mani Charenamei that the policemen on duty “molested” them, called them “Chinese” and told them to “go home to China”. They said policewomen were not seen controlling the protesters and young girls were pulled out of a bus and “sexually assaulted” by policemen. Refuting the allegations, deputy commissioner of police Anand Mohan said “sufficient number” of policewomen had been deployed during the protest march and the policemen did not “touch the girls”. “It was unprovoked hooliganism by protesters and as they were scattered amid teargas shelling, policemen had to chase the boys. There were girls, too, among the protesters, but the boys had to be arrested,” he told reporters. He said that 33 policemen were also injured in the clash.

The Kuki Students’ Organisation today claimed that they had taken out a “peaceful march”. The demonstration, however, did turn violent with the students using the sticks on which they had mounted their placards to attack policemen. Sixteen protesters were seriously injured in the clash. Police have registered cases of rioting and damage to public property against the arrested students. Cases of dacoity and robbery have also been registered against five of them. Charenamei said the students had “officially given a memorandum” on the abductions to him on Friday. He will now raise the issue with the home ministry and the ministry of external affairs. Meanwhile, home ministry sources have said that the abducted villagers have been released and would be brought back under protection. Manipur chief minister Okram Ibobi Singh is also in the capital, but has allegedly not made any attempt to help the students.

Subject: Re: A Statement by "Left" intellectuals on Nandigram Incident

The Judicial Enquiry was demanded by Prakash Karat, CPI(M) Politi Buro Secretary.

The Nandigram investigations are under Kolkattha High Court and they already order for a CBI enquiry and asked the state govt. to submit a report on the issue. The CBI enquiry completed and given its report to Judiciary in a sealed cover.

Can CPM or its Govt. order a judicial enquiry on the issue which is under Kolkata High Courts consideration?

IS THIS NOT A SUFFICENT PROOF FOR THE REAL NATURE OF OUR INTELECTUALS AND MEDIA?

Misleading the nation, spreading the rumors and aliging with the imperialist forces.

NB : On March 14, the police entered the area after prior announcements through loudspeaker. When they reached Sonachura, they were attacked with bombs and guns. In the ensuing confrontation 13 people were killed. One more person was killed due to bomb injury.
