But the pity is that it is talking of pre Independence era of India. It could have been more meaningful if the author had spared some time and briefed us on the situation from 1947 till 2007... what did our great govts did to solve the problems. Does it serve any purpose of talking of ONLY pre 1947 period and keeping mum on the post 1947 period?? regds Pradip Kumar Datta <pradip200@yahoo.com wrote: Roots of tribal problem in Assam — Nandini Sarma The State of Assam is today facing a myriad of diverse and composite problems and one of the most prominent issues is regarding the vast and diverse tribal population of the State. Govt. fixed fee per year is 12,000 Indian rupee only. Private colleges want to collect money by running professional colleges and they went to court and got favourable verdicts from judiciary. Now they can admit students with very less marks for the professional education, fee they can decide. Why can't we think about so alternatives? Other part of the world now Nurses with experience can study for new courses named Nurses Practioner and they can work like a doctor. I think India need to start this course very urgently. This can controle the demand of doctors the less demand for doctors make professional education more cheaper. Those Experienced Nurses with Nurses Practioner Degree can work in the Villages this will help Indian villages where we have less hospitals and clinics. regi. jitu11in@yahoo.com wrote: Hi friends, 1. Which normal middle class father has that much money unless he is involved in some unlawful business? So poor chap decided to give one more try. --------- [4] From: humanrights <human.rights.india101@gmail.com Date: Sun Jun 17, 2007 Subject: Police tracks Orkut to find jihadi links *Police tracks Orkut to find jihadi links* http://www.deccan.com/City/CityNews.asp?#Police%20tracks%20Orkut%20to%20find%20jihadi%20links ** *Hyderabad, June 16: *City police are keeping a close watch on activities of jihadi communities in the popular social networking site Orkut. The site, run by Google, has already earned the ire of the Shiv Sena in Mumbai, which has demanded that the anti-national communities in it be blocked. City cops have also been monitoring the activities of 'hate' communities in Orkut to smell out possible terror plots in the wake of the Mecca Masjid bomb blast. "We are keeping a constant watch on the site," said city police commissioner Balwinder Singh. "But we are not planning to ban the site. We are looking for a technical solution." "Anti-social elements are using the site to spread their ideologies and to recruit gullible youth," said another police officer. Jihadi and pro-terrorist communities are very active on the site, which is becoming more and more popular amongst city youth. Communities active in Orkut have names such as Al-Qaeda, Jihad Lovers, Jihad for Kashmir, Terrorist Kaun Osama or Bush, World needs more Osamas, Let's Support Mujahiddins and We Hate India, to name a few. It also has communities singing praises of Bin Laden and Harkat-ul-Mujahideen. Orkut is popular in both India and Pakistan and more than 17 per cent of its users hail from these two countries. Supporters of Maoist groups are also active in the site. "Every Communist must grasp the truth, political power grows out of the barrel of a gun," says the community of People's War Group. Police are tracing the IP addresses of the members of such communities and are trying to understand their methods of communication. However, most jihadi message boards are in Arabic and a person can log in only if he knows someone linked to it. Orkut has been officially banned in Iran, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. ------- [5] From: syed rahman <surahman2000@yahoo.com Date: Sat Jun 16, 2007 Subject: IMCP’s Najmuddin is finally the Mayor of Malegaon IMCP’s Najmuddin is finally the Mayor of Malegaon By Khabrein Staff Reporter, http://khabrein.info/index.php? option=com_content&task=view&id=1427&Itemid=88 Malegaon, June 16: Indian Muslim Congress Party (IMCP) formed just weeks before the election of Malegaon Municipal Corporation finally bagged the seat of Mayor. External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee said India has been responding to the “noises” made recently and New Delhi’s position had been conveyed by him to his Chinese counterpart Yang Jiechn. “Of late, there have been lot of noises. We have also been responding. First response came from me,” he told reporters here when asked to comment on Beijing’s claims, made repeatedly, that Arunachal is “Chinese territory”. He said he had made it clear to his Chinese counterpart that “it is extremely difficult for any Indian government adhering to the Constitution” to “give up any part of the country which is regularly sending its elected representatives to the state assemblies and the sovereign Parliament.” “Therefore, these aspects have to be kept in view,” Mukherjee is quoted as having told the Chinese Foreign Minister. China has been repeatedly insisting that Arunachal Pradesh is its territory and recently went to the extent of denying visa to an IAS officer who was to travel there along with 106 other civil servants for a study programme. Chinese Foreign Minister told Mukherjee, during a meeting in Germany last month, that “mere presence” of Indian population in Arunachal Pradesh did not mean that Beijing would give up its claim. The two countries are working to resolve the boundary issue through the talks between Special Representatives as per the Political Parameters and Guiding Principles. Mukherjee, who was on a day-long visit here, said New Delhi, however, did not want problems to come in the way of developing relations with China. “That does not mean that till problems are solved, we keep every other issue pending. That is not desirable,” the External Affairs Minister said. He said the relations between the two countries have been improving and trade particulary has increased manifold from a few hundred million to 25 billion dollars. --------- |
