Sangh leaders favour 'deep saffron' polity Sangh leaders favour 'deep saffron' polity JULY 10, 2004 RAIPUR: In their first high-level parleys after the Lok Sabha poll outcome, top Sangh Parivar leaders were on Friday understood to have advocated a return to hardcore Hindutva to usher in a Hindu polity in the country. Attributing BJP's poll debacle to dilution of its Hindutva ideolgoy, the leaders of RSS, VHP and other affiliated organisations, stressed here on the need for a "deep saffron" alternative to the present dispensation, Parivar sources told PTI. While appreciationg earlier NDA Government's attempts to rectify the "distortions" in education, a core group of Sangh leaders, who met here on the eve of the annual meeting of RSS state organisers, are understood to have blamed BJP for "ignoring its ideology, sister organisations and cadres". The leaders are understood to have decided to back any political organisation which outrightly expoused the Hindu cause and was not averse to BJP making a "sincere homecoming".
