Cong asks Yadav to cancel all otment of prime land to RSS Press Trust of India Lucknow, October 3 Taking serious exception to alleged allotment of prime land to the RSS and its frontal organisations by former BJP-led Governments in the state, Congress on Sunday asked Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav to cancel all such allotments and realise the funds provided to them against the rules. In a letter written to the Chief Minister, Congress spokesman Akhilesh Pratap Singh provided a list of organisations associated with the RSS who were allotted land worth crores of rupees by allegedly by the then chief ministers and requested for their cancellation. Congress had been raising these issues through different platforms as also the media when such allotments were made in the name of Sadhvi Rithambhara who was allegedly allotted prime land in Mathura and others and now it has requested the chief minister to review these allotments by ordering an inquiry and cancellation of the same which were done by flouting the rule, Singh said. Pointing out that the Samajwadi Party, which was in the Opposition at that time too had objected to these allotments and waiving of taxes for the likes of 'Saraswati Shishu Mandirs, Singh said that the Attorney General and the judiciary had also stated that these actions of the BJP chief ministers were not in keeping with the prevailing rules. chttp://www.hindustantimes.com/news/181_1039520,000900010004.htmhief |
