KERALA: Five Acres Each For 375 Tribal Families In Wayanad New Indian Express, October 08, 2004, Friday Five acres each for 375 families in Wayanad THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy to discuss various issues in Wayanad district here on Thursday decided to distribute five acres each to 375 families at the Pookode Girijan Service Society estate in Wayanad. It was also decided at the meeting to distribute two acres each to 40 Adivasi families which are not members of the Girijan Service Society which runs the estate. The Revenue Department would take steps to hand over 25 acres to set up a Navodaya Vidyalaya in the district, the meeting decided. The Chief Minister directed the Revenue officials to provide immediate relief to the kin of farmers who had committed suicide in the district. Health Minister K.K. Ramachandran, Education Minister E.T. Mohammed Basheer, Agriculture Minister K.R. Gowri, Cultural Affairs Minister A.P. Anilkumar, MLAs N.C. Appachan, Radha Raghavan, Agriculture Production Commissioner C. Ramachandran, Principal Secretary (Finance) Jose Cyriac, Principal Secretary (Health) K. Rama Murthy, Tribal Development Secretary J.
