Subject: Good observation by colonel - on the Mumbai-blasts aftermath..

Absolutely Right !
   I couldn't agree more.

But please do underestimate that even the 10% of the Indians, muslims; or even
1%; can create more than enough mayhem in the absence of protest by the other
99%.

Similarly, one Modi, one Tagodia, one Singal; has harmed the cause of Peace & Amity in India more than 1.2 BILLION Indians could.

Not that the muslims are Angelic.

Couple of thousand netas - Thugs, Crooks . . . . ; have snatched poverty from the jaws of prosperity; kept India poor so that it could be manipulated to keep them in power,,,,,,,, for more than 60 years since Independence.

Are we really independent ?????? & from what ?????? poverty hunger above all IGNORANCE ?????????

   Thanks for your time

   Best Wishes

Good article by Colonel Anil Athale (retd)
http://in.rediff.com/news/2006/jul/12athale.htm

"... 90% of Indian Muslims are patriotic, peace loving and hard working
citizens of this country. But even 10 percent amounts to close to 15 million or
1.5 crore supporters and sympathisers of terrorists. This a huge number and no
government can really control them.
It is the 90% of the community that has to become pro-active and hunt these
sympathisers of terrorism down. This is the only way that terrorism can be
controlled. Like fish without water, terrorists cannot operate without popular
support... "

The colonel has re-interated the fact that many of us already know -

   1. This is a war waged on Indian nation by Islamic Jihadi Terrorists, with the
support of local Muslim traitors.

   2. The only people who can hunt these traitors, expose them are the remaining
90% Muslims.

   3. But the secularism-infested and vote-bank hungry politicians are proving
stumbling block to this.. Their actions are encouraging to make the remaining
90% Muslims also to go the fanatic way !

   Regards,
   Sankara

Kevadia Colony tribals stand their ground, resist forcible eviction Allege that they were told that they would get back their land. Syed Khalique Ahmed

Kevadia Colony, July 10: IN the face of stiff opposition, the Kevadia Colony administration on Monday did not go ahead with the forcible eviction of half-a-dozen tribal families from their houses and agricultural properties. Though the administration officials had gone to the village with a huge police force, they had to retract owing to resistance from the locals. On Monday, the tribals submitted a memorandum to the district collector, seeking justice.

To save their faces, officials told the tribals to take more time to vacate the land because they did not have any genuine claim over the land after receiving compensation from the Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam Limited (SSNNL).

Kevadia villagers on Monday were also joined by some others from nearby villages in their struggle against the administration’s attempts to forcibly evict them and hand over the land for development of tourism facilities by Mumbai-based BSEL Infrastructure Limited.

Speaking to Newsline, one of the tribals, 70-year-old Raiji Chagan Tadvi, said when the land was acquired in 1961-64, they were told that they were being compensated for their standing crops, and that the land would be returned to them after the project was completed. In lieu of the use of the land, Raiji said locals were promised jobs in the project. ‘‘But no one from the village got a job, though a total of 960 acres of the village was acquired and buildings pertaining to the project were constructed on it,’’ he stated. He said that the tribals would not allow eviction and handing over of the land for commercial utilisation.

‘‘We will never accept it,’’ said another tribal, Narsinhbhai Rambhai Tadvi. ‘‘It is our birthplace and we will lay down our lives if we are procibly evicted,’’ said Narsinhbhai.

Narsinhbhai said that tribals are ready to pay back the compensation for the crops they received in 1961-64, but raises questions about the losses they faced as they could not cultivate the land for 50 years. ‘‘Who will compensate us for that?’’ he questioned.

When told that it was not crop compensation but the price of the land they had been paid in 1961-64, 80-year-old Laliben Tadvi said, at that time they had not been told that the compensation was for the land. ‘‘We were told that it was for our standing crops,’’ said Laliben.

‘‘We are not foreigners. We have right to live here,’’ she said. Laliben alleged that the officials were now handing over the land to private parties for commercial purposes. ‘‘We will not allow our land to be sold for setting up factories,’’ she said. She said the local tribals had always been in favour of the Sardar Sarovar dam, and hence they readily agreed to give their land for it. ‘‘But what the administration is doing with us is plain cheating,’’ alleged Laliben.

On Monday she sent a memorandum, along with others, to district collector C M Balat demanding justice.

But deputy collector (Kevadia Colony) Harshavardhan Modi maintained that the tribals had no right to occupy the land as they had already been given compensation.

‘‘On Monday, we have physically given possession of the land, measuring 6 heactares, to a Mumbai-based company,’’ said Modi.

The land, he said, was given on 30 years’ lease against a charge of Rs 1.30 crore.

According to Modi, the Mumbai-based company would construct 30 huts, two dining halls, a swimming pool, garden, children’s park and fast-food joints, as the dam holds great tourism potential after its completion.

Subject:Recent secret meeting between absconding underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and two high-profile Bangladeshis

salam azad <salamazad@yahoo.com> wrote:
                     THE TIMES OF INDIA
   June 26,2006

KOLKATA: Reports of a recent secret meeting between absconding underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and two high-profile Bangladeshis — one, an extremely powerful young politician belonging to the ruling alliance and the other, a top national security intelligence officer — in Dubai have sent both Indian and Western intelligence agencies into a tizzy.

This, according to highly-placed sources, is part of a well-concerted move to smuggle in arms consignments to Bangladesh for creating countrywide disturbances well before the next elections.

According to sources, the discussion during the Dubai meeting veered around the urgent need to import small arms and explosives for terrorists enjoying the tacit support of a powerful section of the ruling group. The meeting was reportedly arranged by ISI agents, though the supportive role of a powerful foreign agency in the entire scheme of things is not being ruled out.

The meeting led to prompt results. On April 16, a commander of the banned Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami (Huji) of Chittagong received a consignment of arms explosives that reached Chittagong port. Reports suggest larger consignments will be reaching the port very soon, before being handed over to Islamic terrorists. Interestingly, unlike the 2004 arms haul at the same port, which could equip a full Bangladeshi Army brigade, this incident largely went unnoticed because the entire operation was carried out deftly.

On May 16, a large consignment of arms — certainly not meant for security forces — was brought in at an air force base near Dhaka by a Kuwaiti C-130 aircraft. The whole operation, being highly secretive in nature, was supervised by the Directorate General of Forces Intelligence. Investigations reveal that a Kuwaiti NGO Al-Harmain (a banned organisation having links with Al-Qaida) was the funding agency for the arms transshipment for Bangladeshi terrorists.

Given the situation, Bangladesh experts now do not rule out major bloodshed — especially during the time when the country will be ruled by a caretaker government before the polls. Intelligence sources suspect that taking advantage of the fragile security network, the Dawood gang is slowly expanding its network in Bangladesh and providing support to terrorist outfits, especially Huji, which has been targeting opposition leaders with precision.

Prominent Awami League leaders who have been assassinated include former finance minister S A M S Kibria and Ivy Rehman. There were several attempts on the life of Sheikh Hasina, the last one having left her permanently debilitated in one ear. In most of these cases, Huji’s Bangladesh commander-in-chief Mufti Hannan was the mastermind.

AIFB seeks President's intervention

Kolkata: The All-India Forward Bloc on Wednesday sought President A P
J Abdul Kalam's intervention to make the Centre accept the findings
of the Justice Mukherjee Commission which concluded that Netaji
Subhas Chandra Bose did not die in a plane crash in Taiwan in 1945.

In a memorandum to the President, which was submitted to the state
Governor Gopalkrishna Gandhi, the AIFB alleged that the government
did not have any basis in rejecting the Commission's findings .They
alleged that such an action of the Government had been taken "only to
perpetuate its efforts to mislead people of India since Independence
and to intentionally suppress real facts concerning Netaji''.

Hundreds of AIFB activists held a protest rally in city's Rani
Rashmoni Road demanding that the Centre accept the Mukherjee panel
report and withdraw the ATR.
