Pre-written Real Estate Marketing Letters; Fuel For Your Marketing Machine

By: Lanard Perry

Realtors serious about their business know how important it is to automate and streamline their real estate marketing efforts as much as they can; offline and online.  The more they can do it the more productive they'll be.

One way to streamline their real estate marketing efforts is by using pre-written real estate marketing letters. Pre-written letters can ease the sometimes difficult, but always tedious and time consuming, task of creating good letters. They also streamline the process of writing and mailing letters to your prospects; buyers, sellers, farm areas, investors, mailing list subscribers, etc.

However, writing letters is not a complicated process, but writing quality letters can be difficult and challenging to even the best writers.  That's why I advocate and purchase pre-written letters whenever I find good ones at a good price.

Take the following letters for example.  They're part of a group of 50 that I think are outstanding.  The titles include:

  1. Online Auctions: Buying your home online
  2. From the Feds: Buying a home from the US Government
  3. Appraisals: The facts about real estate appraisals
  4. Ten "No-No's" for the home buyer
  5. House Hunting: Things to know that the real estate agent won't tell you
  6. Choosing the perfect real estate agent shouldn't be as hard as choosing the perfect house!
  7. Ten Tips for the first time home buyer
  8. Investment homes: Things to look for
  9. Open house: How to make the most of the visit
  10. Historical Homes: Things to know before you buy
  11. Ten Common Mistakes people make when buying a home
  12. The search is on: Ways to make the most of your house hunting trip
  13. Location, Location, Location. How to find all the details about the neighborhood before you buy.
  14. Home Warranties: What are they and do you really need one?
  15. Escrow: Do you really know what that means to you?
  16. For Sale By Owner: Tips to make the sale go smoothly.
  17. Easement, Right of Way, and Restrictive Covenants: What are they and why you need to know?
  18. Your Mansion: Buying a million dollar or more home.
  19. The Fixer-upper: How much work is too much?

A complete list of all 50 letters can be found here!

So, what does using pre-written letters mean in an actual day-to-day situation for Realtors serious about developing prospects and converting them to buyers and sellers?

Well, the usual way that a Realtor comes about a real estate marketing letter is to write it him/herself. If it's to a seller the language must appropriately reflect a seller's needs and interests, and the same for a buyer, tenant or investor.

Each letter would be started from scratch and can take hours, if not days to write. Take me for example.  Even though I'm a fairly good writer I am slower than molasses in the winter and squeeze out one slow word after another.

But don't get me wrong!  I actually like writing, but it doesn't come easy!  And the faster I write the less impressive my results are. So, I buy up pre-written letters whenever I can knowing that they'll come in handy.

The more people you need to write to the more pressure there is to get it right the first time.  And, correspondingly, the more different types of letters you need to write the more intensive the situation becomes, creating even more chances for errors and typos that'll make a good letter bad ... and fast.

But with pre-written letters this entire process is a breeze and can result in your saving 90-95% of the time it would normally take to write and mail out a good letter.

Once you set up pre-written real estate marketing letters on your computer they'll be automatic from that point on. Choose a letter, print it, slap postage on it and drop it in the mail!  I like to think of them as little soldiers marching off to scout prospects who bring back money making leads!

You can use the letters to market tenants interested in buying their fist home, investors looking to increase their real estate holdings, FSBOs trying to sell it themselves, etc.  There are a near endless number of potential prospects to mail these letters to, and although the market frequently shifts from a buyers market to a sellers market and vice-versa the number of prospects continues to grow.

It should be easy to see how you can streamline your real estate marketing efforts through pre-written, quality content real estate marketing letters.  With their immense time-savings potential you'll be hard pressed to find a better use of your time, and money; especially if you're the least bit serious about growing your real estate business.

Think how quickly you can get hundreds of letters out to buyers, sellers and investors in a day, a week or even a month.  Now, calculate how long it would take to personally write one letter to each of prospect with 7 -- 10 follow up letters already in the hopper.  Now remove about 95 percent of that time and you'll have a better feel for the efficacy of pre-written real estate marketing letters.

I'm sure you'll agree that a set of pre-written letters is WELL worth owning.
