Store your cleaning materials in a plastic carry tray. They'll

be much easier to take out and put away and to move about.

When arranging your cleaning supplies in a closet, give first

consideration to making large and awkward items, such as

vacuums and rolling buckets easy to reach.

For The Laundry

Install a clothes rod below a high shelf in your laundry room

and you'll have a handy place to hang drip-dry or freshly ironed

clothes.

Construct a simple cabinet with shelves or cleats to hold plastic

laundry baskets. Make each family member responsible for

bringing his or her own basket to the cabinet on laundry day,

and for removing it -- full of clean laundry -- afterward.
