Preventing Insect Bites and Stings
==========================================
Most mosquitoes bite early in the morning and 1 to 2 hours after
sunset.  Stay inside or use the suggested precautions at those
times.  Apply insect repellent before going into a mosquito-infested
area.  Head for a breezy spot -- it's much harder for mosquitoes
to find you when the wind is blowing.

If you're the person mosquitoes seek out in a crowd, even when
you're wearing insect repellent, it could be because of something
else on your skin.  Suntan products, perfumes, and colognes, as
well as scented soaps, lotions and shampoos, all increase your
chances of being bitten.  Some products -- for example,
deodorants, shaving lotions, and hair sprays -- may actually
attract the pesky insects.

Additional Tips For Those Pesky Insects
==========================================
Favor light colors such as white, light green, tan, and khaki.  Wear
long sleeves, pants, socks and shoes outdoors -- and, as
much as possible, keep from looking or smelling like a flower to
insects.  That is, make every effort not to wear floral prints,
bright colors, or scented products.  Also avoid floppy clothing,
which may entangle insects.

Note:  Insect bites and stings may cause serious allergic reactions.
If you or someone in your family is subject to them, have your
physician prescribe an insect-bite medicine and carry it with you
at all times.

Thank you for joining us today and may you have a wonderful day.
