Before Cleaning Your Windows
==========================================
The ideal day for window washing is one that's cloudy, but not rainy.
Direct sunlight dries cleaning solutions before you can wipe them off,
leaving streaks on glass.

Cool, clear water is the choice of most, professional window washers.
If windoes are very dirty, add 2 to 3 tablespoons of ammonia or vinegar
per gallon of wash water.  Choose only one; if combined, they'll
neutralize each other.

One of the best window-cleaning solutions can be found right in your
medicine cabinet.  Pure rubbing alcohol removes dirt easily and leaves
windows crystal clean.

Washing and Drying Windows
==========================================
Here's an easy way to tell whether the spots you've missed are on the
inside of the window or the outside.  Use horizontal strokes to clean
one side of the window, and vertical strokes for the other.

To clean the corners of small window frames, use a cotton swab
dipped in cleaning solution.

For drying windows, a wad of crumpled newspaper works just as
well as expensive paper towels.  Wear rubber gloves to keep your
hands from of the ink from the newspaper.

When washing windows in the Fall add a tablespoon of methylated
spirits to the wash water.  If the weather is very cold, the methylated
spirits will stop the water from freezing on the window panes.

Thank you for joining us today and may you have a wonderful day.
