Just Released: Industries International Launches New Battery Production Base to Cope with Increased Demand
IDUL today announced that its new battery factory located in Shenzhen has formally launched operations.The new factory, occupying a total of 15,000 square feet, was initially designed to produce an annual capacity of 8 million lithium ion cell phone batteries. Lisun Power, a wholly owned subsidiary of Industries International, has significantly increased its original output and this new facility is aimed to cope with the increasing demand from the southern China market.
"Lithium ion cell phone batteries account for 41% of Lisun Power's total income and business is continuing to grow very quickly. Since 2000, we have expanded our cell phone battery facility 3 times. The new factory will immediately increase our cell phone battery production capacity by at least 70%," said Dr. Kit Tsui, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Industries International.

JADE announced that it will be opening its first showroom in Hung Hom, Hong Kong, the center of the region's jewelry industry and retailing. The store, with 5,000 square feet of space, is due to open by end of February 2004 and will showcase LJI's highest-end jewelry lines.There will be two showrooms, one devoted to LJI's Lorenzo brand jewelry, the other for one of the Company's eMotion galleries, a kiosk displaying items available for immediate purchase online. The store will also serve as a specialty store for LJ's unique products.

Based on volume projections for 2004, these changes should result in expense reductions of $350,000 or more and push the platform into profitability. This restructuring will keep Amstar in the correspondent market with fixed costs held to a minimum. By taking these actions the platform's threshold to profits has been substantially lowered.
