The Non-Rechargeable Products
segment offers lithium-manganese dioxide nonrechargeable batteries
that include 9-volt batteries for use in smoke alarms, wireless
security systems, and intensive care monitors; and HiRate
cylindrical and Thin Cell lithium nonrechargeable batteries for
use in radios, automotive telematics, emergency radio beacons,
search and rescue transponders, pipeline inspection gauges,
portable medical devices, and other instruments and applications.
It also provides magnesium silver-chloride seawater-activated
batteries for certain marine applications.
The Rechargeable Products segment
offers a range of lithium polymer and lithium ion rechargeable
batteries, as well as rugged military and commercial battery
charging systems and accessories, including smart chargers,
multi-bay charging systems, and cables.
The Communications Accessories
segment provides power supplies, RF amplifiers, battery chargers,
amplified speakers, equipment mounts, case equipment, and
integrated communication systems.
The Technology Contracts segment
develops applications for its products and technologies through
contracts with government agencies and third parties. The company
operates in the United States, Europe, the People's Republic of
China, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, and Canada. Ultralife
Batteries sells its products directly, as well as through sales
agents, distributors, and retailers.
Ultralife Batteries, Inc. was
incorporated in 1990. The Company's founders, among the original
pioneers of the lithium battery industry, sought to develop and
commercialize new, more advanced power technologies.
