Overview
The
development of telecommunications infrastructure in major expanding markets such
as China, and the proliferation of high-speed data networks worldwide, has led
to a burgeoning demand for broadband connectivity between major data lines and
the businesses and customers who need these services.
China Wireless Communications
Inc. (CWLC) has become a major player in the race to connect customers with
major broadband networks in China. CWLC combines decades of management
experience building high-tech and telecommunications companies with the
availability of new "Wireless Fibre" in the form of digital broadband
radio to become the premier facilities based provider of broadband access and
services in top markets across China.
Monopoly players such as China
Unicom, China Netcom, and Beijing China Telecom, are currently facing the
daunting challenge of either spending hundreds of millions of dollars to
complete last mile connectivity between their installations and customers office
buildings and towers in the immediate vicinity. The opportunity exists for these
monopoly carriers to enter into a business relationship with CWLC to provide
wireless last mile broadband connectivity to a customer base that is demanding
these services but until now, has been unable to obtain them due to
infrastructure limitations. With the ability to bring large numbers of carrier
customers and new revenue online quickly to fill underutilized network capacity,
CWLC is providing a valuable service to both the monopoly carriers in this
market and the customers needing broadband access.

Profile
CWLC, headquartered in Denver, CO provides a suite of broadband
data services, including support for Internet access and Voice over IP in
Beijing, China through its wholly owned subsidiary, In-Touch Communications.
The Company secures, reliable fixed wireless technology to
provide the 'last mile' connection to link bandwidth-hungry businesses to its
fiber-optic backbone, and to the networks of its telecommunications partners.
CWLC's "Wireless Fiber" services provide the capacity and reliability
of fiber-optic networks, over a fixed wireless connection. As a result,
the company capitalizes on faster deployment and maintains targeted capital
spending available only through these advanced technologies. CWLC's systems are
used to provide
redundant high-speed network access connections, Voice over IP and transport
services that include IP data, video and ISP services.
Technology
China Wireless Communications utilizes
digital broadband radio systems, or "Wireless Fiber" to provide the
capacity and reliability of fiber-optic networks, with the fast deployment and
targeted capital spending only available through advanced wireless technologies.
The Comapany utilizes two types of
radio systems; point-to-point, and point-to-multipoint. Each one has its own
purposes. In point-to-point networks, there is a dedicated "link"
between two points, with a radio system consisting of indoor radio electronics
and an outdoor antenna, installed on each end of the link. One end of the link
is called a "hub" site. The hub site typically has multiple antennas,
each with a corresponding set of radio electronics. Each antenna at the hub site
points to an antenna located on an end-user building at the other end of the
link. The end-user building radio system completes the link, offering dedicated,
secure connectivity between the two locations at speeds up to 155Mbs. The
multiple end user buildings look like "spokes" coming from, or
connecting to, the hub.
In point-to-multipoint systems,
Wireless point-to-multipoint broadband networks allow transmissions between
multiple customer antennas and a single base station antenna, thereby allowing
CWC to share the same spectrum among its customers and reducing its capital
expenditures. One end of the network is a "base station" radio system
that acts as an aggregation point. In most cases, the "base station"
radio system is co-located on a "hub" site with other point-to-point
and point-to-multipoint radio systems. The end-user building has a radio system
(electronics and antenna) called a "subscriber unit". Multiple
subscriber units within a "sector" are pointed toward one base
station, where the traffic is aggregated. Connection speeds from each subscriber
can vary from 256Kbps to 10MBps.
Tax
Holiday
CWLC's subsidiary In-Touch
is Registered in the Beijing Zhong Guan Cun High Tech Park and also recognized
as a High Tech company. In-Touch will receive a tax holiday for three full tax
years and a further three years where it will pay taxes at half the normal
corporate tax rate, starting from the year that it first achieves a profit in
the PRC.
