Dear Subscriber It's finally spring! The Midwest has had sunshine and showers, but it's getting warmer. My tulips and daffodils are starting to show their greenery in the garden. Soon, the trees will be budding, too. It's a rough time for people's sinuses ... many are getting sinus headaches, but it's great for those people with seasonal affective disorder (SAD) to be able to be out in the sunshine.
I can't believe that it's almost the end of March already. I don't know what is happening to the hours and the days; it seems like they're going faster. It seems like I've just finished the winter holidays, but now it's time for spring cleaning
for the spring holidays.
Pet Food Recalls If you haven't already heard about it, there are some poisonous pet foods that have caused illness and death in pets and dogs. If your cat or dog has had any symptoms, get him/her to a Vet.
"The recall covers the company's "cuts and gravy" style food, which consists of chunks of meat in gravy, sold in cans and small foil pouches between December 3 and March 6 throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico."
Check out the recalled items at http://www.menufoods.com/recall/.

Cleaning Tips Declutter by spending 15-30 minutes a day going through the area in your home that bother you the most. It can't be tackled all at once, and it's easier if you set a time limit. That way you can get other necessary chores done, also.
Sort into piles: Donate Trash Shred Keep (Put in its place)
I use the garage system when determining if an item is ready to be donated. If I put it in the
garage and it doesn't come out for 1 year, then it's time for it to go (unless it's an appliance that I use during certain times of the year. You can either donate the item (which can be tax deductible) or join www.freecycle.org to find a new owner who wants/needs the item.
Another option is to sell the item on e-bay or other forums, if you have the time and patience. Or ask if you can post the item at work.
Designate separate areas for bills and tax paperwork for 2007 and previously filed returns. If you do craft projects, keep these projects together in one area. If you do not have a spare craft room, purchase containers
for your crafts that will store easily in closets. For example, for my beading supplies, I use a backpack on wheels that can be transported.
My paperwork is in the office bedroom in file cabinets and plastic crates. My crafts are in the bedroom in one 5-drawer plastic storage container and a couple of heavy-duty plastic containers with lids. I keep some supplies on my drafting table for card making, such as a cutting board and cutting edge, adhesive and drying ink stamps.
What's your downfall when it comes to clutter and/or organizing?
Mine is hanging clothes up after I change after work and folding laundry after I take it out of the dryer. For some reason, I see laundry as a 3-step process: washing machine, dryer and folding. I like to fold the clothes
at one time when I'm watching TV.
