Summer Savings
We’re all feeling the pinch as utility costs rise. Here are a few tips to save money:
-Replace your air conditioner or furnace filters on a regular basis. -Keep your shades, curtains or blinds closed during the day while the sun is out. -Grill outside instead of using your oven inside -Change your light bulbs to Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs -Drive when only necessary; plan your route to do errands on your way home from work -Use a power bar and turn it off when not using computers and TVs, DVD players, etc. -Wash full loads of laundry -Shop at thrift stores instead of paying designer prices. Vintage is in style again.

Bartlett Peanut Allergies Schools are banning peanuts from children’s school snacks because of peanut allergies. Primary approach is prevention, education and preparedness. Researchers from Duke University are looking into suppressing the immune system by creating a hypoallergenic peanut which doesn’t contain the proteins that cause the allergies.
In May, I will donate a percentage of sales proceeds to the Susan Komen Breast Cancer Fund. Purchases of my handcrafted jewelry will not only benefit the gift recipient, but a good cause, too.
I’m introducing a line of paper crafted goods: greeting cards and bookmarks.
And, I will have bejeweled bookmarks, chakra bracelets and earrings, too. Check out my lindab142.etsy.com for more details.
I hope you can soon fire up your BBQ grills and enjoy flowers and nice weather.
Peace and light,
Linda Blatchford Jewelry Designer www.LinorStore.com, www.lindab142.etsy.com
