OUR FEATURE ARTICLE
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Why Supplement?
  By Mary Porter
PART I
If you are relying on your diet to deliver all of your
nutritional needs, you may be coming up short. Food today
does not have the same value as it did 50 years ago. Back
then, farmers restored nutrients to the soil by mulching
with natural fertilizers, and by rotating crops. Today there
is extensive use of chemical substances that eventually
deplete the soil of some of the essential components
necessary for adequate nutrition. The end result is the
supply of beautiful produce that looks great, but doesn't
have near the vitamins and minerals it should have, and did
have 50 years ago.
Today's food also loses value in the processes it is subject
to. Canning, freezing, and even cooking fresh food all cost
in nutritional value. The very popular added convenience of
"quick to fix" or "ready to eat" takes away even more
necessary elements.(Not to mention the chemical food
preservatives, stabilizers, flavor enhances, artificial
colors, and other stuff you are ingesting!)
The FDA Food Pyramid recommends the following:
Fats, Oils, Sweets    -   use sparingly
Milk, Yogurt, Cheese  -   2-3 servings/day
Meat, Poultry, Fish,
Dry beans, Eggs, Nuts -   2-3 servings/day
Vegetable Group       -   3-5 servings/day
Fruit Group           -   2-4 servings/day
Doesn't look TOO terribly tough to accomplish. If you are
focused, and plan your meals, and are organized enough to
fulfill all of the requirements. Then you have to make sure
everyone in your household actually CONSUMES all of the
carefully planned and presented meals.(Does everyone at your
house like spinach? I am the only one here!)
Most people today are too busy to plan and deliver balanced,
adequate meals every day. I can't imagine being in one place
long enough to eat 5 servings of vegetables in one 24 hour
period, let alone finding that many that my daughter will
eat.
But even if you ARE resourceful enough to accomplish this
task, based on the information at the beginning of this
report, you are probably going to come up short anyway.
Book of the Month
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The South Beach Diet, created by Dr. Arthur Agatston a
renowned South Florida cardiologist, this safe,
scientifically studied weight-loss plan lets you get slimmer
- and stay that way for a lifetime - even if you never could
before. The proof? Tens of thousands of people who lost 20,
30, 40 pounds on The South Beach Diet and kept it off year
after year. It worked for them; it can work for you!

BANISH BELLY FAT-AND MORE IN JUST 2 WEEKS! No hunger pains.
No cravings. No starving yourself! With the revolutionary
South Beach Diet, you can shed up to 13 pounds in just 14
days - with belly fat coming off first - and still eat the
way you like to eat.

I have always had trouble understanding why I could eat and
still be hungry. Have you ever felt this way before? I would
actually have the nagging hunger pains even if my belly at
the bottom would feel full I would feel those same ole
hunger pains at the top of my stomach.

It did not become clear to me until after I purchase this
book and read it. I know know why I was still having those
hunger pains. I won't reveal the reasons why, you'll have to
buy the book and see for yourself.

I did the diet and he was right! Finally I had my answer.
Plus being that I was not a picky eater; this was the
perfect book for me. To be able to stay on this type of diet
and know that I can still eat is great. Plus you don't have
to feel bad if you want the piece of cheescake or piece of
bread. Just go right back to your diet, it was a blessing to
have gotten this book. Find out for yourself by visiting

I have faith in all of our customers. Why you may say, it's
honesty, sincerity and commitment I tend to stand by what I
write in this area. It's me speaking, my thoughts, and my
own words. As silly as they can be sometimes, I have some
blond in my hair, but not naturally. You know the jokes
about blondes, totally false. Until next month stay safe,
happy and God Bless

Weight Loss Tip of the Month
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Drinking just one glass of water before each meal and one
glass of water during the meal will cut down on your calorie
intake by helping fill the stomach.
Recipe of the Month
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

* White Castle Turkey Stuffing *

10 White Castle hamburgers, no pickles
1 1/2 cups celery, diced
1 1/4 tsp. ground thyme
1 1/2 tsp. ground sage
3/4 tsp. coarsely ground black pepper
1/4 cup chicken broth

In a large mixing bowl, tear the burgers into pieces and add
diced celery and seasonings. Toss and add chicken broth.
Toss well. Stuff cavity of turkey just before roasting.
Makes about 9 cups (enough for a 10 - 12 pound turkey).
Note: Allow one hamburger for each pound of turkey, which
will be the equivalent of 3/4 cup of stuffing per pound.
