Cook over medium heat for 10 minutes or until the mixture is almost to the boiling point, stirring occasionally. Remove from the heat. Cover to keep warm. For the pork chops, combine the brown sugar, cumin, chili powder, salt and pepper in a bowl and mix well. Sprinkle the brown sugar mixture over both sides of the pork chops. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the pork chops. Cook for 10 minutes or until cooked through, turning occasionally; drain. Toss the tomatoes and cilantro in a bowl. To serve, spoon the sauce evenly onto 4 serving plates. Arrange 1 pork chop on each plate. Top with the tomato mixture. Ticks are small, brown insects found in tall grass, bushes, and woods. They attach themselves to the skin and hold on tightly. Because they can sometimes spread disease, it is important to know how to prevent and treat tick bites. PREVENTION:
By taking these simple steps before going outdoors when tick exposure is possible, tick bites can be prevented or minimized. 1. Wear a hat or bandana, long sleeves, long pants, socks and closed-toed shoes. For added protection, long sleeves can be buttoned at the wrist, and pants tucked into boots or socks. 2. Apply a tick or insect repellant to skin that contains diethyltoluamide (Deet). Re-apply every 1-2 hrs and wash treated skin with soap and water after child returns indoors. 3. Insect repellants containing permethrin can be sprayed on clothes, but not on skin, to prevent tick attachment. 4. After going outdoors, have your child take a shower, then check him for ticks. Look for ticks on the head, neck, and behind the ears. Be sure to also check armpits, groin, belly button, bends of arms and legs, and between fingers and toes. 5. Outdoor pets should be inspected daily for ticks. They can be treated with veterinarian-approved products to prevent ticks.
