? At first I would like to welcome each subscriber. I think the content of the ezine will strongly depend on your activity, views and opinion. I would like to place texts being concerned they??™re interesting for you. Express your vision in e-mails and most interesting of them will be included in next issues. I would like to see not my ezine but OUR ezine. That??™s why I ask you to describe your background, interests and occupation when writing e-mails. ? This ezine is about employment, about how is it to be employed and alternatives to this way of earning money. A year ago one of the thing I dreamed about was a good job. That time I had been already employed but thought I??™m underpaid. Thus I was writing resumes, visiting recruitment web sites and attending interviews with possible employers. Now I understand that my desire to have a good job wasn??™t really my, that it was simply a popular opinion of the society and having no alternatives I decided to share the opinion. Today this desire seems very strange to me. And in this ezine I will explain why. ? Here I would like to place an article of Alexei Romanenko. I think it??™s one of the best work on the issue. ? The XXI Century SlavesThe most famous examples of slave-owning system are the age of the Roman Empire and the colonization of America. In both cases a human being enslaved and forced another one. With hardships and destitution, he made another person to serve him. After toiling a lot a slave got just some food to keep body and soul together and a shelter to be protected from bad weather. A slave had no rights to devote his time to the needs of his soul. Such notion as ???time??? didn??™t exist to a slave. He had no freedom of choice and freedom of speech. Two thirds of his life belonged to his master and only in night sleep a slave could fall into a reverie and dream of a better lot. Many centuries have passed since that time. Official opinion claims that there are no countries with slave-owning regime in the world. There are no slaves and masters. The Constitutions of all the countries and the Declaration of Human Rights provides us with and guarantee the freedom of choice and freedom of speech. Among the number of human rights, there are:
It is written on paper. But in reality most of us are Slaves of Illusions of our Freedom. Who are we?Recently I asked many people: 1.? ? ? ? ? Do you want to find a good job? 2.? ? ? ? ? Why do you want (or why don??™t you want) to find a good job? The absolute majority of respondents answered the first question in affirmative. There were several answers like ???No, I already have a good job??? or ???No, I don??™t want to work???. It??™s a natural response but the following answers for the second questions suited our reality best of all:
People answered me, and they didn??™t understand why I ask them such obvious things. It seems to be natural to strive for a high-paid and interesting job. So you, my dear reader, may ask me: ???Why do you ask such questions? What do you mean???? I??™ll answer without unnecessary hints??¦ Nowadays our society is divided into employers and employees. Of course, there can be different situations, but in our article we consider this very situation ???Employer vs. Employee???. ? A nowadays employee that already has a good job or wants to find one, practically does not differ from a SLAVE! You are SLAVING for the boss and it implies more meanings in words than it may seem at a glance. That??™s why, ???however it is difficult to realize, but it is true??? any employee is a SLAVE. Because the biggest part of the day he can??™t devote his time directly to himself, his own needs and achieving his own goals.? Let??™s recall the ???privileges??? of a slave: some food to keep body and soul together and a shelter to be protected from bad weather. Can a nowadays employee have anything more? No! A salary, even ten times bigger than the minimum of subsistence approved by the government still can??™t provide a person with all he needs. Food. Do we eat everything we want? Can we afford all the food in our shops anytime we like? Shelter. Do we wear the clothes we want and do we decorate our flats with furniture pleasant to our sight and senses? Do our children play with the toys they want and do they go to the schools that worth them? Do all our dreams and desires come true? No, no and no! We are Slaves because once upon a time we shifted responsibility for the quality of our lives on somebody else. We committed to other people the right to manage our time and decide what things we should do today and what things we should leave for tomorrow, the right to worry about our own well-being. With our own free will we deprived ourselves from the right to build future of our children. We gave away our own dream and it perished without vital force and free will. We live in the XXI century and still, slaving for a boss, we have to admit our SLAVERY. Because none of us can provide himself or herself with desirable material welfare and good psychological atmosphere at home in this case. The soul of a slave is deprived of will and isn??™t free from torments. I??™m acquainted to many high-paid employees and good specialists that are very unhappy. They have a lot of money, but they do not have Freedom. Night by night their souls suffer yearning for Freedom. And every morning these people go to their SLAVERY, earn big sums of money and grieve throughout the nights. It happens because they are devoured by the Slavery of Illusions of their own Freedom. Remember the words pronounced by Sergey Bodrov in ???Brother-2???: ???Money isn??™t the real power! The real power is the truth!??? I want to add that the real Power is also the Freedom. Only a Free person is powerful if he possesses the truth. ? The article is not finished. It??™s written what??™s wrong with employment and to do anything is evident. But it??™s not evident what to do. I would like to ask YOU: in your opinion, what is to be done? And do you agree with what is written in the article? This issue is the start of a discussion. To make a real dialog your position is necessary. ? I also invite you to subcscribe to a newsletter ???Help yourself: non-standard time-management???. Maybe you think time-management is not needed for you, but there the thesis that it??™s worth for everyone is being proved. ? If you found this issue interesting please make you friends and acquaintance known about it just redirecting this letter. If you have anything to say about the topic please write me, my mailbox is realemployment @ mail.com. Pavel Nosikov |
