Subject: How to Find Your Own Trade?! - July18, 2005

Hello my dear readers!

In previous issues you found articles about employment, its disadvantages and suggestions what to do. There were 2 options: to do business and to launch Your Own Trade. Business building is taught in many business schools and other institutions. By the way, many people think that business could not be taught not in schools but in real conditions, that??™s why business schools are nonsense. I have no aim to speak about businesses??™ creation, because most principles of business and works of business gurus are well-known.

And when it comes to Your Own Trade the situation is another. To launch a business is difficult, but it is easier than to go farther and launch Your Own Trade. It is an enormous lack of knowledge in this area, everybody has to come to conclusions using only his brain. To think and do what you think is more difficult than to read books about business and implement what is written there in reality. Acting on your own behalf is the means of personal growth, reading books isn??™t.

So you have 2 alternatives: to act independently and to seek knowledge your action will be based on. Successful entrepreneurs will probably choose the first option because they become used to make their own decisions. Former employees will choose the second one. And as our ezine is for employees, former and present, I place here an article about how to find Your Own Trade written by Alexei Romanenko. Subscribers who read the ezine from the beginning may remember his article ???21st century Slaves???. As most people having graduated from an institute he found a job and began his career. But then he become fed up with slaving for a master and now pretends to have found his trade. And now we can be called colleagues :) because he also spread the opinion among people that to become happy having a job is much more difficult than without it.

After I have written this article I gave it to my friends and their reaction was different: from ???Too much complicated??? up to ???It??™s a real blockbuster. That??™s exactly what I needed???.

One of my acquaintances said that this article can possibly be rated as an article where the author tries to dissect Love. Of course, such risk exists, but it is inevitable, though undesirable. However I didn't rewrite the first variant of the article but made some stylistic corrections. I didn??™t alter it radically because the opinions differ much and trying to please somebody you can lose something useful to others. It??™s up to you to judge, my dear readers. I hope to get the only Truth in a hundreds of your letters.

How to Find Your Own Trade?!

It??™s a strange question, but recently I??™ve been asked it very often. It??™s strange because, I'm sure, only the person who asks knows the irrefragable answer. How can anybody know the way you can find YOUR OWN Trade? As your own Trade goes from your inner world, your heart, and your inner desire to act??¦ even from the very unconsciousness. Just try to understand the subconscious impulses of other person if you don??™t know your own??¦

However, the asking person shouldn??™t lose heart as well as the asked one shouldn??™t turn aside. In this article I??™ll try to express the approach to world outlook that helped me and my acquaintances to find our own Trade.

So taking a blank sheet of paper and a pencil and stand motionless for some time, looking with your inner sight into your soul.

Task number one: thoroughly examine your impressions from life and write down the actions that brings you moral satisfaction and the feeling of creative excitement.

Pay attention to the following aspects:

These actions must be pleasant not only now, but also yesterday, tomorrow, the day after tomorrow etc.

Example: I like very much to surprise my family with an exotic dish. It would seem that this process pleases and excites me, but I by no means like cooking. Sometimes I can??™t bear it. Yesterday, I liked it, but today I don??™t??¦ So, I won??™t put cooking in my list of favorites.

Second.
This very creative excitement has nothing in common with gambling. It reflects your active desire to DO something better or in larger quantities than yesterday, to ACT but not to get. That??™s why I call this feeling ???creative excitement???, not ???gambling???. Your own Trade is not a roulette wheel. Here you act and create, there you just get something??¦ sometimes you even get punishment.

Third.

List even those actions that are not generally accepted as right ones.? ?

The main thing is that you??™ve thought about them. And your attention towards any action can be changed or interpreted in a different way.

Example: let us assume that I??™ve always felt a strange kind or pleasure destroying snowmen made by other people after a snowfall. Just looking out of a window one morning I see a nice and neat snowman. Sometimes I can resist the temptation, but sometimes I can not. I put my coat on, go out and start destroying the snowmen went into raptures. I can do nothing about it, it??™s the games of the unconsciousness, and I??™m not the only one. But this energy can be used for better things; you can use different approach to all this and launch your own Trade. Surely, you won??™t destroy snowmen??¦

Example of a possible list ???I like???:

  1. Paint landscapes;

  2. Mountain skis;

  3. Wright science fiction novels;

  4. Make furniture for home myself;

  5. Etc.

You can hardly list more than five favorite actions. If you can, it means that you are not frank with yourself.

That??™s enough for today I think :) You now have enough information to make your first step towards Your Own Trade.
