BIG ROAD BLUES BEGINS ON WGMC JAZZ 90.1... For the past 12 years I've co-hosted Bad Dog Blues along with my partner Gary Reinhardt. Over the years Bad Dog Blues has become one of the most well known and respected blues shows in town and garnered a huge fan base online. As mentioned in in the final Bad Dog Blues newsletter I have left the show and started a new one. Starting July 8th I'll be stepping out with a new show called Big Road Blues which will air on WGMC Jazz 90.1 Sundays 5 to 7 PM directly preceding the popular Muskie's Juke Joint. Big Road Blues will be an exploration of traditional blues spanning the 1920's through the 1970's spotlighting both blues legends and forgotten figures. Most shows will be built around a theme such as a particular artist, record label, lyrical theme, spotlights on notable reissues, features on out-of-print records, etc. Along the way I'll fill you in on the history and stories behind the music.
