The Master of International Business is a fully recognised 12-15 month full-time programme, consisting of two taught semesters and a dissertation.   •  Two Dutch leading business schools join forces

Tias Business School – the school of management of Tilburg University and Eindhoven University of Technology – and Universiteit Nimbas have announced that they intend to join forces to advance executive education.

Discussions are currently underway. The merger between the two schools will be a merger through acquisition of the shares of Nimbas by Tias. The merged organization will be led by Tias Dean Prof.dr.ir. Philippe Naert.

Both schools have been quite successful in their own right, but Nimbas President Borchert-Ansinger and Tias Dean Naert are convinced that joining forces will accelerate growth towards a position in the first division of European business schools.  Read:

  •  Denmark: Danes go by bike to work 

Skip the train, leave the car at home and hop on a bicycle- that is what more and more Danes are doing for their morning travel. The majority of Danes who ride their bikes to work travel more then seven km to and from work each day, a figure which surprises the Danish Cyclists Federation. 

In connection to their yearly 'Ride to Work' campaign, the association asked more than 4600 people about their bicycling habits. Some 45% of those asked reported bicycling more than seven km to work and 13% of respondents power their way over 15 km each day.  Read:

  • Belgian and Dutch HR managers keen to recruit expat workers  

Almost half of Belgian HR managers recruit workers from abroad or are planning to do so in the future, according to the survey from StepStone, a reacruting specialist.

The survey revealed two-thirds of Belgian HR managers look for expat workers in
France. More than half of them also look for workers in the Netherlands.  British workers are also popular in Belgium: 40 percent of HR managers who look for new employees abroad also look for workers in the UK.

The survey revealed 47 percent of HR managers in the Netherlands look for expat workers from Belgium, while 43 percent also recruit Germans. Expats from the UK are also popular with Dutch-based companies: 34 percent of HR managers recruiting abroad have hired or considered people from Britain. The next most popular expat countries are the US and France (both 25 percent). Source: Expatica.com.
