Sweden’s foreign-student population continues to
grow, and the country compares favourably with its international peers
as a place to study. Such are the findings of a new report published by
the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
Half of Spain’s recent economic growth can be
attributed to immigration, a Spanish government backed report says. As
a whole, it is reckoned that immigrants contribute more to the nation’s
finances than they receive.
Swiss firms are to create thousands of new jobs
next year, according to a survey carried out by the Handelszeitung
business newspaper.
The results come from a study of the top ten biggest companies in
Switzerland, as well as the 25 firms listed on the Swiss blue-chip
index - SMI. Tougher A* grades will be introduced at A-level to identify the brightest students, the Government announced recently.
