Hello friends. I thought I better let you know whats happening. Yesterday, was my sisters chemo. Her blood pressure was high again but since they haven't been able to treat her they it anyway. They did give her a medicine for her blood pressure as well as a drug to keep her calm. Then last night, her head was hurting her really bad and she was really clammy. I called the doctor on call, and she told me to call 911 right away. When they got here her blood pressure was 228 over 109 which was almost the point of a stroke. They rushed us to the ER. They gave her drugs to get her bp down and then sent us home. She is much better today. I went to the drug store and bought a bp monitor and got some meds. for if it spikes again. I am keeping a close eye on her today. We made her a appointment for tomorrow afternoon with an internist. I'm not sure what all they will do. I know the chemo drug she is on causes blood clots, so one test will be to look at her brain. The cancer is everywhere already. Friday, we are suppose to be taking the train to Penn. She is so stubborn and she plans on going anyway. I will ask this doctor first. I'm me meeting hubby and Jessica there, but if needed, I will stay longer. My other sister will be trading off with me, so she won't be alone. Monday is her 60th birthday. We didn't think she would make 57 so this is great. I am working on a news but not sure if I can finish it. I will be gone all next week, but I will be home afterwards. I will then be able to get back to normal and back to daily newsletters. I won't have internet next week. I wanted yo to all know whats up. Thank you for all the prayers for my sister. She is such a strong woman and thats what is keeping her going.
