Hello, my wonderful family of readers. I'm sorry, but I wasn't able to get a new story together this weekend. I just spent the last eight hours at the emergency room. Ginny’s son was in town for Thanksgiving. We took them into Manhattan. We were out all day. It was a mistake though. I’ve been having trouble with my sciatic nerve. My sciatic nerve acts up once in a while. Last week it was giving me some pain but nothing too bad. It was hurting on Friday again. On Saturday morning it was hurting bad. I took something for pain and Ginny and I took her son, his fiancee and his little boy into Manhattan We were on our feet for the better part of 9 hours. I was hurting, but no too bad. Ginny and I fell asleep on the sofa while watching TV. I woke up around 2 or 3 AM and couldn’t move. I tried to get up to go to the bathroom but the pain drove me to my knees. I had to crawl to the bathroom and back. Ginny woke up and gave me pain medication again, but I had to crawl up the stairs to bed. Ginny had to undress me. Several times during the night I woke in terrible pain. I couldn’t find a comfortable spot. This afternoon, it was so bad, even the Tylenol and other things Ginny gave me didn't help. We went to the hospital They gave a little cup filled with pills – muscle relaxers (Valium), an anti-inflammatory, and a pain med. Four hours later, I felt better. I walked to the bathroom with Ginny’s help, because I was woozy. I got back to my bed and Ginny helped me dress. I sat on the edge of the bed and waited for the doctor. As I did, the pain hit again. It shot down my leg and centered on my knee. They had to give me another batch of pills. Three hours later that seemed to work. I just got home with prescriptions. The pills are making me nauseous. I didn't eat all day, which is probably making the pills upset my stomach. I’m a mess. I promise to get you a story as soon as I am able to sit at my computer for any length of time. I have some wonderful Christmas stories from last year and ideas for several more. We are up stuck at 840 members. My goal of 1000 by the end of the year looks like an impossible one.
