Subject: Hearts and Humor - The Sun Has Risen - April05, 2007

Hi, Gang.

Last week, I listed inspirational sites I enjoy and where my

stories appear. I left a great one out! It was my mistake. One

of the great sites you need to visit is Storytime Tapestry at:

http://archives.zinester.com/98907/

There are great stories to read there.

Easter is coming up. I want to share a short Easter story

with you tonight.

If anyone is interested in greeting cards, Ginny

belongs to a group of artists. They've teamed together

to market their products. Check them out at:

Ginny's cards and other crafts are at:

    Now for today's story.

                   The Sun Has Risen

Stars twinkled in the sky. The first cars pulled into

the parking lot. Headlights sent beams out over the ocean,

competing with the circling light of the towering lighthouse

behind us. Children yawned, as their parents lifted them from

safety seats. A light breeze chilled the congregation

gathering on the rocks of Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia. People

shivered beneath heavy coats, which did little to block the

pre-dawn cold.

Our pastor climbed to the highest rock. We waited

patiently for her to speak. The sky grew light in the east.

The ocean turned pink, reflecting dawn's birth. "Every

day the sun sets." She began. "Every morning it rises again.

We're disappointed to see it leave us each evening, but we're

not sad. We have faith in our sun. We know it will rise again."

She spoke for many minutes, touching our hearts and souls with

her words of faith and love.

The sky grew brighter. The choir assembled on the cliffs

in front of us and led us in song. The last words echoed over

of the ocean. The sun appeared over the horizon.

    It was Easter morning.

    The SON has risen.

Hi Michael,

You are such a riot!!!    The ladder made me laugh and laugh.

I actually could picture you going through these things,

and that made it even funnier.

I haven't done a lot of mailing here lately.  Had some

health problems.  More annoying than anything.  Not life

threatening unless you count the reaction to the meds....lol

Hope all is well with you and your love-Ginny.

Blessings,
Darlene
