Poet’s Bio: Born and raised in the heart of New Orleans' own 7th ward, she grew up as a very interesting and inquisitive child. Always wanting to read alot, and
write more. And after winning numerous awards for story writing, classroom presentations, and writing and performing speeches (both educational and political) she eventually realized that this was her calling. Ever since she can remember, having a pen or pencil in hand has given her a feeling of completion. After relocating to Houston from the devastating Hurricane Katrina, she took that as an oppertunity to renew, and embark on new personal journeys. Not only a poet, but a writer. Not just an artist, but a messenger. She takes pride everything she touches, and if asked, would describe her work as "Metophorically Realistic". Her passion for writing matures more everyday, and her eloquent and artistic presentation of her
work has taken many by storm, brought some to tears, and left audiences speechless. Touching stages from New Orleans to Houston, she is meticulously perfecting her work as she prepares for publication of her first book "Reflections of a Rainbow Through Black and White Photographs". She is also in the beginning stages of print for her own Turnstyle Magazine, which combines youth and common interests together with maturity, growth and education. As she consistently engraves in her mind to "Nurture Your Passion", she takes her love for writing seriously and is honored to share what she has to say to the world.
