1. How to Read the Reports You Love to Hate
by Paul R. Scheele

In just 11-13 minutes you can get 80% of what you must know from even the most difficult reports. Here's how you can do it now, quickly and easily:

At the end of your work day, take 2 minutes to glance through the report's layout, table of contents and ending. Decide on 3 things you must know from this report.

STOP! Do not read further. Flip the pages in front of your eyes like a fan 2 or 3 times. Make a guess where you will find your answers. Leave it alone until tomorrow.

In the morning take no more than 7 minutes to search for and read the key points you felt you had to know.

Double check to determine if there are any additional "life or death" needs associated with this report. If yes, spend no more than 4 more minutes now and maybe 5-7 minutes the next day.

2. 5 Motivation Myths
by Jason Gracia

There are many reasons people use for not being motivated to reach for more. They'll use these reasons again and again, and stick with them forever. There isn't much that will make them let go of their strongly held beliefs about success in life and why they can't achieve it.

These reasons are merely myths and should be avoided. Below are five of the most common myths about motivation and success.

1. IT ISN'T MEANT FOR ME
Many people think that happiness and success are things that other people can enjoy, but not themselves. This simply isn't true.

Each person, whether they are happy or unhappy, has the same amount of time during the day. They can only do one thing at a time. It is what they do with that time that makes the difference. You can do anything you want, if you use your time wisely. With persistence and desire, you can accomplish anything.

2. IT ISN'T POSSIBLE
This statement has been used many times throughout history. Going to the moon isn't possible. Breaking the 4 minute mile isn't possible. It doesn't matter what the subject is, someone has said it can't be done.

After thousands of have proven the naysayers wrong, don't you think you can do it too? You can. People have won against the odds before and they'll do it again.

3. IT'S TOO HARD
When you first think of getting to work on a goal or project, it can be a little overwhelming. It can seem too large for one person to handle.

After you learn more about it, your goal becomes more manageable. You may see a huge shadow of a scary monster, but you will soon find that it is only a small kitten casting that large shadow.

4. IT WILL TAKE TOO LONG
When you think of the end product, the main goal, it can seem like it will take a very long time. There is a secret to making this easier. Break the goal down.

When you have a main goal, break it down into smaller goals. That way you'll find success much faster and more frequently. This will accomplish two things; you will be motivated to keep going and you will reach small successes along the way.

5. I'M NOT SMART ENOUGH
This is one of the deadliest myths. A lack of confidence can put a quick and untimely end to thousands of of dreams, wishes, and goals.

It will take time, patience, and hard work but you will learn. If you are dedicated to succeeding, you'll put in the time, and you'll have the knowledge and confidence to carry through until the end.

Now you know the myths and the truths. No more excuses, only successes. Set your goals, get moving, and smile on your continuing success!
