EquusEmbrace's Cowboy polo fundraiser, August 19th from 4-9..<br>

The tickets are $15 each. The ticket includes 5 raffle tickets, 1 book of polo<br>
betting coupons and a complimentary beer, wine or soft drink.<br>

Dinner is an additional cost but well worth it as Baldy's BBQ is supplying the<br>
food. Ribs, corn on the cob, corn bread, and more. Kids 12 and under are free.<br>

In preparation for this weekend, don't forget to bring these items:<br>
<br>
&nbsp; * Something to float the river in. &nbsp;Alder Creek is loaning us a bunch of Life<br>
&nbsp; &nbsp; Jackets, so we'll cover that. There's a shuttle service that will help<br>
&nbsp; &nbsp; folks back to McKay Park unless you have a canoe. &nbsp;It runs until 6:00 pm<br>
&nbsp; &nbsp; and then we'll likely have a friend do a final round for stragglers.<br>
&nbsp; * A blanket or chair to rest your bootie in. &nbsp;And perhaps a lovely colorful<br>
&nbsp; &nbsp; sun umbrella?<br>
&nbsp; * We're looking at 90 degree temps for Saturday, so bring LOTS of water to<br>

Sisters and Brothers, Over 75 mobile home residents and JwJ members mobilized<br>
for Monday's City Council work session on affordable housing--and the City<br>
Council decided to fast-track proposed ordinances that would provide<br>
protections to mobile home residents faced with park closures and evictions.<br>
THE CITY COUNCIL WILL HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING AND POSSIBLY A FIRST READING OF AN<br>
ORDINANCE AT 7 PM, WEDNESDAY, MAY 17, AT BEND CITY HALL. We know that the<br>
mobile home park owners and their allies in the real estate/development<br>
industry will try to delay and stop the City Council from moving forward to<br>
protect mobile home residents. They will be out in force at the Council<br>
meeting. We need to out-number them with massive people power in support of a<br>
righteous struggle for affordable housing in our community. With your help, we<br>
can win this fight! Please come to the meeting, show your solidarity, and speak<br>
out in support of mobile home residents who have organized TUFF, Tenants United<br>

The TUFF (Tenantes United For Fairness) need a strong show of support for the<br>
new affordable housing initiatives that will be put on the table. Be there to<br>
support the idea that everyone deserves a decent place to live at an affordable<br>
cost.<br>
