Subject: 7 Seas Cruise News - March26, 2008

Greetings, Cruise Fans,

Welcome to the March 25 edition of the 7 Seas
Cruises newsletter. I have some cruise news
for you tonight, but first, I want to tell
you about our adventures aboard the Celebrity
Century last week.

Pat attended a Celebrity seminar on board
while we sailed from Miami to Key West and
Grand Cayman. The Century is an interesting
ship, small by today's standards, which makes
it great it my book. From casino to lounge to
dining room to cabin was all a reasonable
distance. The ship was freshened up within
the past year and beautiful balcony cabins
were added. Even the humble inside cabins (
like ours) has been tricked up nicely. It's
still small, but the bed was great, the
cupboards are clever, the 20" flat screen TV
handy, and the bathroom was appointed with
one of those bowl-like sinks that are kind of
pointless but very cool!  The only congested
place on the entire ship was the pool area.
There just weren't enough lounge chairs to go
around, with lots of people saving them as
early as 8 a.m.!  Yes, I moved someone's
towel so I could sit down. (and I urge you to
do the same!) Other than the pool area, the
ship felt spacious and comfortable.  The
dining room is lovely and there is adequate
space between tables. It's even possible to
have a conversation across the table. Food
was up to Celebrity standards. Good beef.
Good fish. Really good sugar-free desserts.
And fantastic ice cream made onboard.  The
informal buffets were very good. Pat and I
tried to do lunch in the dining room one sea
day, but one look at the menu sent us back up
top for a hot dog, crispy fries and deep
fried onion rings!  My favorite place might
have been the casino. Don't tell me, however,
that they can't control payouts from day to
day or hour to hour.  They can and they do!
On the last day out in the afternoon, neither
of us could lose. $50 payouts on 5-cent
machines. $90 payouts on 1-cent machines. Wow.
But after dinner, you couldn't win a thing.
Ah well…   All in all, I'd say this is a
great little ship and it would make a great
choice for a romantic getaway for two, a
family vacation (there are good kids programs)
or a great big family reunion.  Prices are
very reasonable for the 5-night or 4-night
cruises the Century sails. Call Pat for your
price on this beauty or any other cruise. 1-
866-424-1090 toll-free, almost any time.
Visit the website at www.7seascruises.com but
don't believe the prices. Pat can usually
beat them.

And now, a bit of cruise news…

Cunard Line and its fleet of "Queens" rank
among the world's best-known cruise brands.
Now, following the giant "Queen Mary 2" and
the elegant "Queen Victoria, Cunard now plans
to replace the legendary "Queen Elizabeth 2"
with a new "Queen Elizabeth" by 2010. The
super-luxury Queen Elizabeth will be built at
the Monfalcone yard of Italian shipbuilder
Fincantieri for about $700 million. The 92,
000 GT cruise liner for 2,092 passengers will
be the second-largest Cunard ship ever built.
The new Queen Elizabeth will offer every
conceivable luxury. Blending state-of-the-art
engine technology with traditional
engineering excellence also applies for the
heart of Queen Elizabeth. A diesel-electric
power plant made up of 4x MaK 12 M 43 C and
2x MaK 8 M 43 C Caterpillar marine engines
will provide total 64,000 kW for main
propulsion and hotel load. The six
Caterpillar MaK engines will drive AC
generators to supply the energy needed for on-
board services, all auxiliary systems and the
Azipod propulsion technology which actually
propels the vessel.

The new Ruby Princess will be delivered
earlier than previously expected, announced
Princess Cruises. The line's next new ship
will now debut one week prior on November 8,
2008, creating a new inaugural voyage, a
seven-day Western Caribbean sailing taking
passengers to Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman,
Cozumel and Princess Cays. Ruby Princess, a
sister ship to Emerald Princess and Crown
Princess, will feature a dramatic piazza-
style atrium featuring small-bite eateries
and an ever-changing array of performing
street entertainers, Princess' signature
adults-only retreat called The Sanctuary, an
Italian trattoria, a seafood and steak house,
a "Movies Under the Stars" giant outdoor
movie screen and 900 cabins with private
balconies. The 113,000-ton vessel will
feature an inaugural season of Western
Caribbean cruises roundtrip from Fort
Lauderdale, followed by a program of
Mediterranean voyages in summer 2009.

In 2011 and 2012, Disney will add two mega-
ships to its fleet, and $22 million in
improvements to its terminal at Port
Canaveral. Disney cruises are the best-known
fleet at Port Canaveral, and with two ships
already home-ported there -- at a capacity of
about 2,700 passengers each -- the volume
will take a giant leap. The two new ships
will carry 4,000 passengers each. Replacing
the old ships - Magic and Wonder - with
bigger ones necessitated the terminal changes.
These new ships are 150 feet longer than
Magic and Wonder, 15 feet wider, and 3 decks
taller, so a new terminal will be necessary.

Kids love cruises! There are all the other
kids onboard (more than a million children
cruise every year, with more than 1,000 on
each Disney ship) and organized kids' and
teen activities from morning until night.
There's all the freedom to roam as they
please, sun by the pool, hit the arcade,
watch a movie, grab a slice of pizza or an
ice cream cone. A cruise, kids agree, beats a
theme park any day. After all, at a theme
park, there's not as much to do, or as much
good food.

Call Pat to get your kids cruising-or to get
yourself on board. That cute Celebrity
Century would be a good choice.  So would the
Radiance of the Seas, Crown Princess …well,
you name it. Then let Pat price it for you. I
think you will be pleasantly surprised!  1-
866-424-1090.

I think you're all terrific-and you deserve a
vacation!

Teri
