Subject: 7 Seas Cruise News - June17, 2008

Greetings, Cruise Fans

Welcome to the June 16 edition of the 7 Seas
Cruise News.  Pat reminded me to suggest to
you that there's still time to book a summer
cruise vacation, or if you're really
interested in a major bargain, think about a
vacation this fall! Except for Thanksgiving
and the Christmas and New Year's holidays,
fall is the least expensive time of the year-
and this year, with fewer people traveling,
prices are good. No, prices are excellent!
Add Pat's philosophy of commission cutting
and you just can't hardly afford to stay home!
So, browse the possibilities at www.
7seascruises.com, then call Pat toll-free at
1-866-424-1090 and tell him about the
destinations that interest you.  He'll find
you the best deal on the high seas!

And now, some Cruise News…

Costa to the Caribbean

Costa, Europe's Number One Cruise Line, is
bringing the love, laughter and la dolce vita
of Italy to the tropics aboard two ships once
again during its Caribbean 2009/2010 season
from Ft. Lauderdale, with voyages available
for sale beginning today. Guests may choose
from the grand Costa Fortuna and the elegant
Costa Atlantica, which is making its much
anticipated return to Ft. Lauderdale,
complete with exclusive new spa cabins. Both
ships will sail alternating Eastern, Western
and Southeastern Caribbean routes as well as
one sailing to Bermuda aboard the Costa
Atlantica. The grand 110,000-ton (2,720
double occupancy) Costa Fortuna will once
again return to the Caribbean from December
2009 through March 2010, departing every
Sunday on seven-night voyages. Beautiful
scale models of historic ships are weaved
into the style and design of the ship's
various restaurants and other public areas.
For a step into the present, guests may enjoy
modern amenities including a retractable
magrodome over the ship's main pool deck, a
state-of-the-art spa and ocean-view fitness
center, 11 bars and four restaurants and a
theatre expanding over three decks.

In December 2009, the 86,000-ton (2,114
double occupancy) Costa Atlantica will make
her much anticipated return to Ft. Lauderdale,
sailing seven-night voyages each Saturday and
boasting 44 exclusive spa cabins that create
a true "vacation within a vacation." Guests
who reserve these spa accommodations,
appropriately located on Deck "8 1/2" in
honor of Federico Fellini, who inspired
design elements of the ship, will enjoy a
variety ofspecial privileges, inluding a
personalized wellness consultation, three
complimentary treatments, two fitness or
meditation classes and complimentary access
to the Wellness Restaurant, offering a wide
array of spa-friendly cuisine. Spa cabins,
available in ocean view, veranda and suite
categories, will feature aromatherapy
diffusers, special shower and air filters,
and a mini bar stocked with healthy food and
beverage selections. In addition, guests with
these accommodations will be offered priority
spa reservation times.

You Don't See This Every Day

Passengers aboard a Carnival cruise ship
spotted seven Cuban migrants floating on a
raft near Miami on Saturday. Two women were
on the 10th floor of the ship "Valor" when
they spotted the raft about 5:45 p.m. The
ship was returning from a seven-day Caribbean
cruise. The women said they were able to
communicate with the group of six men and one
woman by shouting. The Cubans gave the women
a phone number to relatives in Miami, and
asked them to let family members know they
were alive. Ship workers contacted the Coast
Guard and provided the dehydrated Cubans
bottled water, Carnival said. The ship stood
by until a Coast Guard cutter arrived, then
continued to Miami.

NCL Gives Passengers Onboard Credit

Norwegian Cruise Line is offering a Freestyle
Cruise Rewards program to guests and agents.
While sailing on an NCL ship, guests who book
a future NCL cruise with a one-time, $250,
refundable deposit earn a $100 onboard credit
to use on their current cruise. Freestyle
Cruise Rewards are transferable and available
in four world currencies - the British pound,
the Euro, and the Canadian and U.S. dollar.
By purchasing a Freestyle Cruise Reward,
guests have 12 months to book the cruise and
30 months to sail. Travel partners are
notified when one of their clients books a
Freestyle Cruise Reward onboard. When the
guests are ready to finalize their plans,
they can have their travel professional
confirm the reservation. Incidentally, Pat
has had several clients who decided to do
this, and most of the time, he can negotiate
a reduced price once you return home. So you
get the perks PLUS the best price. That's Pat
for you!

Wonder Why Cruises Are Expensive??

A U.S.-owned cruise ship has paid a record $
331,200 to cross the Panama Canal as vessels
fight for space in the increasingly congested
waterway, authorities said on Tuesday. The
964-foot (295-meter)-long Disney Magic, owned
by a subsidiary of Walt Disney Co, broke the
transit record on May 16, the Panama Canal
Authority said. The ship sails out of Port
Canaveral, Florida, and is registered in the
Bahamas. Three container ships have also
recently paid more than $313,000, the
previous record price set in October 2007 by
NCL Corp Ltd vessel Norwegian Pearl. NCL is
an affiliate of Star Cruises Ltd. Non-
reserved slots for crossing the canal are
sold at auction to the highest bidder, with
yachts, cruise liners and container vessels
all competing for limited spaces on the 50-
mile (80-km) waterway between the Atlantic
and Pacific. Last year, the U.S.-built canal
started a $5.25 billion expansion plan, but
work won't be completed until 2014. Waiting
times to enter the canal increased by a third
in the first three months of this year,
compared with the same period in 2007, due to
a high traffic levels at the canal.

Rollin' on the River

Viking River Cruises was again honored this
month with the 2008 WAVE Award and "Editor's
Choice" Award for Best Overall Cruise Line
for River Cruising at the third annual
TravelAge West Western Agents' Votes of
Excellence (WAVE) Awards.

Bypassing Burma

Oceania Cruises has revised the itinerary for
Nautica's November 18, 2008 "Odyssey to Asia".
Previously scheduled to spend three days in
Yangon, Myanmar, the new itinerary now
features added overnights in Dubai and Bombay,
and has added port calls in Goa and Mangalore
in India along with Penang and Port Klang in
Malaysia.

That's it from here. Give Pat a call to shop
for a bargain for summer '08. There's still
time-and there are great buys just waiting!
Or, if you have to skip this year, don't skip
'09. Pick your cruise now and if the price
decreases before your final is due, Pat will
get you the lower price! That's a promise!

1-866-424-1090!

Until next time, smooth sailing!

Teri
