Greetings, Cruise Fans Welcome to the August 14 edition of the 7 Seas Cruise News. Pat is finding some excellent prices this week on cruises around Thanksgiving. May be suggest you join us on the Carnival Miracle, sailing from Fort Lauderdale on Saturday, November 29. This fascinating trip will call at Panama City, Panama; Puerto Limon, Costa Rica; and Belize City, Belize. There are mighty attractive prices on this 8-night cruise. Today, he got a price of $760 per person for a balcony cabin (senior rate). This price?like all Pat Crane 7 Seas Cruise prices?includes everything. Cruise fare, all taxes and port charges and fuel supplements are included in this very nice price. Call Patrick for other prices, toll-free, at 1-866-424-1090. Here?s another idea... How about Royal Caribbean?s Grandeur of the Seas, sailing from Tampa round-trip for 10 nights of fun in the sun for less than $90 per person per day in a nice ocean-view cabin for seniors? This fare includes everything, too, including the fuel supplement, taxes and port charges, and you?ll call at San Juan, St. Maarten, St. Kitts, Antigua and Tortola. A lovely itinerary and a lovely ship! Of course, we?d love your company on the Miracle, but we?ll understand if the Grandeur or another ship, date or itinerary is more appealing. (?More appealing than dinner with me?? ?Impossible!? LOL) Call Pat! Let?s celebrate how fortunate we are with a delightful Thanksgiving cruise! 1- 866-424-1090. You?re welcome to browse the web site, too. www.7seascruises.com, but please allow Pat to get you a better-than- advertised price! Now, a bit of cruise news... Carnival Sensation will undergo a multi- million-dollar refurbishment that will include the installation of an expansive water park, an exclusive adults-only retreat and tropical-themed mid-ship pool area, as well as renovations to nearly 1,000 staterooms and cosmetic enhancements to a wide range of public rooms and areas. The ?extreme makeover,? which represents the next phase of the line?s ?Evolutions of Fun? product enhancement initiative for the line?s eight Fantasy-class vessels, will take place during a scheduled 35-day dry dock in January 2009. Carnival Sensation, which operates the line?s popular three- and four-day Bahamas cruise program from Port Canaveral, will be the fourth Fantasy-class ship to receive the full ?Evolutions of Fun? makeovers. Carnival Inspiration and Carnival Imagination were completed late last year and Carnival Fantasy is scheduled to receive the upgrades during a scheduled dry dock this fall. Holland America Line is introducing the new port of Santa Cruz Huatulco, Oaxaca, and scenic cruising through wildlife- abundant Bahia Magdalena on selected 2009 Mexico cruises. A breeding ground for migrating gray whales, Bahia Magdalena highlights the seven- day Mexican Riviera itineraries, while Santa Cruz Huatulco is featured on the new 12-day Pacific Mexico cruises sailing roundtrip San Diego. These -- and Holland America's 9- and 10-day Sea of Cortez cruises -- feature the adventurous shore excursion to Mexico's famed Copper Canyon. Ruby Princess has completed another major milestone in preparation for her November 8 debut, with the completion of her sea trials. The new ship set out to sea from her construction dock at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy, and was put through her paces with a series of maneuvers to test her propulsion, steering and navigational equipment. After a successful four days of trials, the ship is now back in the shipyard for further exterior and interior finishing. Ruby Princess will be ready for her maiden voyage from Ft. Lauderdale, a seven-day Western Caribbean sailing taking passengers to Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman, Cozumel and Princess Cays. Ruby Princess is a sister ship to Emerald Princess and Crown Princess, and will feature the same dramatic piazza-style atrium that have become so popular on those ships. Other ship highlights include Princess' signature adults-only retreat called The Sanctuary, an Italian trattoria, a seafood and steak house, a "Movies Under the Stars" giant outdoor movie screen and 900 cabins with private balconies. In celebration of National Romance Week, Princess Cruises announced yesterday that celebrity couple Trista and Ryan Sutter will christen the newest cruise ship in the Princess fleet, Ruby Princess, on November 6 in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The Sutters, who met on ABC's hit reality series, ?The Bachelorette,? the most romantic franchise on TV since the Love Boat, will celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary this fall, and will mark this milestone event during the Ruby Princess inaugural, which will be themed around romantic moments and milestones. Precious? Yes, but it sure beats Rosie O?Donnell in her dirty, wrinkled shirt on the Norwegian Pearl. Ick. Okay. That?s all I?ve got. Until next week, I wish you a week of good news and smooth sailing! Teri |
