Subject: 7 Seas Cruise News - April26, 2004

Hello again, cruise fans!

Welcome to another edition of the 7 Seas Cruise
News. There is lots of news to report tonight, so I
will keep my usual ramblings to a bare minimum for
a change. I'll just take time to tell you that Pat
is bored. He is not getting nearly enough phone
calls and e-mails. Even the cruise line personnel
are complaining about not enough business. What
this means is-aha! Fewer travelers! And therefore,
lower prices! So, if you are even vaguely thinking
that a cruise might be nice, call Pat! He's
available from 8 a.m.EST until 10 p.m. EST
virtually seven days a week. Oh, once in awhile, he
has to cut the grass, but otherwise, he is ready to
take your call and give you blazingly fast turn-
around on cruise quotes! And his prices will be
terrific! I promise. Call him toll-free at 1-866-
424-1090 or send him an e-mail at
cruiseplanners7seascruises@msn.com  You're welcome
to visit the website, too, just for inspiration.
The prices you see at www.7seascruises.com are not
Pat's prices! His will be lower 99% of the time.

Ok, time for some news??¦

April 22, 2004 - Royal Caribbean International took
delivery today of Jewel of the Seas, in a ceremony
in Eemshaven, Netherlands. The 2,112-passenger ship,
built at Meyer Werft Yard in Papenburg, Germany,
will sail a series of short, preview events before
arriving in Harwich, England, to commence her
inaugural cruising season in Northern Europe.
Jewel of the Seas will sail Scandinavia/Russia and
British Isles/ Norwegian Fjords itineraries until
September, when she repositions to Boston to cruise
Canada and New England. In November, she moves to
Ft. Lauderdale to take guests throughout the
Eastern and Western Caribbean.

If you've ever enjoyed a birthday or anniversary
cake on Carnival, you may not welcome this news.
Carnival has adopted a New "CAKE" policy effective
sailings departing May 1, 2004 and beyond. Guests
will now have the opportunity to "purchase"
beautifully decorated specialty cakes to be served
in the dining room. Cakes will be available in two
sizes--$7.95 which serves up to 6 guests and $9.95
which serves up to 10 guests. These cakes represent
are an upgrade from the previous free ones and
provide a high quality "centerpiece" for the
special occasion. Cakes can be purchased through
the Bon Voyage department or on board the vessel.
The dining room staff will continue to recognize a
particular event by providing a candle on the
desert of choice and singing a celebratory song, if
so desired. Please continue to tell Pat about
birthdays, anniversaries and honeymoon celebrations
so that they may be recognized accordingly.

Carnival Goes Low Carb! No, don't get excited, you
will still find plenty of bread and pasta and
desserts! But, because of the explosive popularity
of low carb diets, Carnival Cruise Lines will begin
rolling out specially designated low carb dining
selections on dinner menus this week with a gradual
fleetwide implementation over the next month.
Whether Atkins, South Beach, the Zone, or simply
subscribing to the low carb philosophy, Carnival
wants to make it easy and convenient to enjoy the
Carnival dining experience. Dinner menus in the
ships' main dining rooms will feature an appetizer,
salad and entr?©e with a low carbohydrate count. The
number of carbohydrate grams per dish is listed
beneath each low carb selection. Primary
ingredients focus heavily on vegetables, meat and
fish blended with flavorful seasonings and creative
preparation. The low carb dishes are included both
within the overall list of menu selections for each
course as well as in a special box on the opposite
page labeled Low Carb Selection, which contains all
low carb items from that evening's menu. The new
low carb selections are being introduced on menus
aboard the Carnival Victory this week with
implementation throughout the balance of the
company's 20-ship fleet expected to occur over the
next month. Sample low carb appetizer selections
include:  Vine Ripe Beefsteak Tomatoes and Fresh
Buffalo Mozzarella - Marinated with Basil Leaves
and Virgin Olive Oil -3 grams of carbs; Hickory
Smoked Alaskan Salmon - Garnished with Purple Onion
Rings, Fresh Dill and Baby Capers - 2 grams of
carbs; Escargots Bourguignonne - Burgundy Snails in
Garlic Butter with an Infusion of Chablis and
Pernod - 5 grams of carbs;  Gravlaks - Thinly
Sliced Norwegian Fjord Salmon Cured with Dill and
Brandy Presented with a Sour Cream Mustard Sauce -
5 grams of carbs. Sample low carb entr?©e selections
include:  Filet Mignon with Gorgonzola Butter -
Aged Center-Cut Beef Tenderloin, Grilled to
Perfection with Green Beans - 8 grams of carbs;
Pepper-Seared Supreme of Young Long Island Duckling
- Marsala Infused Purple Onion Confit, Steamed Bok
Choy and Sauteed Spinach - 6 grams of carbs; Tender
Roasted Prime Rib of American Beef au Jus, Cooked
to Perfection - Broccoli Roses and Grilled Tomato -
4 grams of carbs;  Jerked Pork Loin - Slowly
Roasted Center Cut Pork Loin, Marinated in Island
Spices and Herbs Sauteed Savoy Cabbage with Bacon -
6 grams of carbs. A reduced carbohydrate bread
selection will be available each evening on request,
as well. Carnival lunch and dinner menus in the
main dining rooms also feature Spa Carnival
selections, which are lower in calories, sodium,
cholesterol and fat.  Designated items are
accompanied by a listing of the number of calories
and grams of fat contained within each selection.

New York City officials unveiled a 13-year deal
with Carnival Corp. and Norwegian Cruise Line that
guarantees the city at least $200 million in port
charges to upgrade the aging cruise ship pier. The
two cruise companies agreed to bring at least 13
million passengers to New York through 2017 and
together pay at least $200 million in fees during
that period. In return, the city will give each
line preferential berths at specific piers. A
master plan, created by the city's Economic
Development Corp., calls for the creation of four
cruise berths in Manhattan and nearby Brooklyn over
the next four years; the EDC still is mulling the
Brooklyn location. The Passenger Ship Terminal,
which will now be renamed the New York Cruise
Terminal, was last renovated in the 1970s.

Norwegian Cruise Line will bring the Norwegian
Dream to Alaska in 2005, for a total of four ships
in the region, and will offer longer cruises from
Seattle with 10- and 11-day Alaska sailings. The
Dream will reposition to Houston after the 2005
summer Alaska season to replace the outgoing
Norwegian Sea; the Norwegian Sun will move into the
Dream's winter slot in New Orleans. The line said
it will not position a ship in northern Europe next
year, citing "rapid expansion in North American
ports and key destinations" -- but added that may
change "as the company expands its fleet."
Meanwhile, Hawaii deployment will be upped to three
vessels. NCL expects the Pride of America to be
completed at the Lloyd Werft yard in Germany in
time for a 2005 debut. And itinerary details on a
new, as-yet unnamed vessel under construction at
Meyer Werft in Germany and slated for a fall 2005
debut, will be announced soon, a spokeswoman said.

Cruise ships are top venues for both established
and up-and-coming comedians and Carnival Cruise
Lines is giving three budding comedians the break
of a lifetime - a comedy gig aboard the world's
most popular cruise line. As part of the new "
Carnival Comedy Challenge," up to 100 would-be
comedians in Atlanta, Charlotte, and Sarasota, Fla.,
will compete for the grand prize - an all-expenses-
paid comedy performance, including round-trip
transportation, aboard a Carnival "Fun Ship." The "
Carnival Comedy Challenge" is the brainchild of Al
Ernst, one of the most popular comedians performing
aboard Carnival's ships who also appears regularly
in comedy clubs throughout the country and has been
featured in numerous television comedy specials.
Ernst, who got his start by winning the guest
talent show aboard a Carnival "Fun Ship," will
serve as emcee for "Carnival Comedy Challenge"
events, which will be held on the following dates:
April 27-28 - Punchline Comedy Club in Atlanta, May
25-26 - Comedy Zone in Charlotte, and June 29-30 at
McCurdy's Comedy Theater in Sarasota  In addition
to an audience vote, a panel of judges, comprised
of top talent evaluators, including entertainment
scouts from Carnival and comedy club owners, will
select 10 finalists from each city to compete for
the grand prize. The 10 finalists will then perform
a six- minute stand-up act as part of a "comedy
showdown," with one winner from each city being
chosen to be a featured comedian aboard a Carnival "
Fun Ship." Winners will have numerous opportunities
to showcase their talents during the cruise,
including performing during the line's popular "
Midnight Special" comedy show. The winner of the
Atlanta event will perform on the Inspiration's
four-day Caribbean cruise from Tampa Nov. 4, 2004;
the Charlotte winner will perform on Celebration's
four- day Bahamas voyage from Jacksonville, Fla.,
Dec. 9, 2004; and the Sarasota winner will perform
on the Imagination's five-day sailing from Miami on
Oct. 26, 2004. Would-be comedians interested in
competing in the "Carnival Comedy Challenge" can
visit www.emannation.com for additional information
and registration.

That's it from here for this week. Watch for a
special mid-week edition of the 7 Seas Cruise News
complete with some special limited-time only prices!
Until mid-week, smooth sailing!

Teri
