Subject: 7 Seas Cruise News - September14, 2008

Greetings, Cruise Fans,

Welcome to the September 14 edition of the 7
Seas Cruise News. Wherever you are today, we
hope you're high and dry. That's the best
place to be-unless you're on a cruise ship,
of course.

And speaking of cruise ships, there is still
time to book a holiday cruise. They're not
sold out yet. In fact, there are some
excellent rates available. Pat booked a
client into a nice 5-night cruise that
departs on Christmas afternoon, for example,
for a lot less than you'd expect! So even if
you don't have the time for a 7-night, Pat
will help you find a more convenient 4- or 5-
night trip. Give him a call this week 1-866-
424-1090 toll-free. After next Sunday (9/21),
we'll be on Royal Caribbean's Freedom of the
Seas. Pat will be learning more about Royal
Caribbean at a series of seminars. I will be
exploring every nook and cranny of the
Freedom in order to write a review for you
when we get back. I also promise to test out
the deck chairs!

Pat also asked me to remind you that it's not
too early to book next summer's cruise to
Alaska, or Europe or the Caribbean. You're
invited to look around on the website, www.
7seascruises.com, find just where you'd like
to go, and then let Pat get a price for you
that you will love!

And now, some cruise news?

The Grand Turk Cruise Center, which is
operated by Miami-based Carnival Corporation &
plc, and located on the island of Grand Turk,
has scheduled an Oct. 8, 2008 re-opening date,
following the passage of Hurricane Ike. An
engineering survey has confirmed that no
damage was sustained to the cruise ship pier,
which can accommodate up to two ships at one
time. Minimal damage occurred to the facility'
s retail and restaurant complex. Cruise ships
will provide important economic benefits to
Grand Turk while the island moves forward
with its recovery efforts. In addition to its
existing staff on the island, Carnival Corp.
will bring in a number of additional skilled
workers who will be housed and fed by the
company.  Those individuals will not only
repair the cruise center complex, but also
assist in the repair of some of the island's
key attractions. The Grand Turk Cruise Center
is the largest private employer on the island
and the cruise center staff, combined with
shore excursion operators, comprises
approximately 80 percent of non-government
jobs in Grand Turk. Carnival Corporation will
also be providing financial and logistical
assistance to shore excursion operators to
enable them to resume their businesses.
Cruise passengers and crew members will be
provided the opportunity to participate in
volunteer-oriented excursions for those who
wish to assist in the island's recovery
effort. The Grand Turk Cruise Center, which
opened in 2006, has become one of the cruise
industry's most popular Caribbean cruise
destinations.

Panamanian President Mart?n Torrijos, the
Panama Canal Authority (ACP) and several
former and current heads of state witnessed
and celebrated the historic groundbreaking of
the Canal Expansion Program. Expansion, which
will build a new lane of traffic along the
waterway through the construction of a new
set of locks, will double capacity and allow
more traffic and longer, wider ships. In
addition, it will significantly augment the
Canal's revenue stream while maintaining the
viability of the route.

Taking home more awards than any other
company in the cruise category, Holland
America Line has won nine Magellan Awards --

The Orlando Sentinel reports that the Disney
Magic will install a new splash pool themed
after the movie Fantasia and brand-new 22-
inch LCD TVs for all guest rooms along with
other upgrades during a dry-dock period later
this month. According to the report, the 385-
square-foot "Mickey's Splash Zone" will be an
addition to the already installed Mickey Pool.
It will be themed around the "Sorcerer's
Apprentice" and feature star- and moon-shaped
fountains and splash areas. New TVs will be
installed in a fashion where they can swivel,
allowing guests to watch them from different
vantage points. Other upgrades will include
new waterfalls from a pair of hot tubs in the
pool at the adults-only "Quiet Cove," new
chairs at the nearby Cove Cafe and new radio
frequency identification technology at the
Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab, allowing
children to check in and out by tapping a
sensor with with tag-embedded wristbands.

Costa Cruises has launched its past guest
recognition program, "Costa Club," in the
United States. The club is dedicated to past
guests who choose Costa as their preferred
cruise line, with members receiving special
offers and privileges.  Guests enrolled
receive benefits based on the number of
cruises taken, coupled with onboard purchases.
Each guest receives 100 points for every day
they cruise and 40 points for every $60 spent
onboard that is registered on their personal
onboard cruise card. There are three
membership levels: Aquamarine, for members
who have earned up to 2,000 points; Coral,
for members who have earned between 2,001 and
5,000 points; and Pearl, for guests who have
earned 5,001 points or more.

That's it for this edition. Call Pat. He'd
love to talk to you! 1-866-424-1090 from
anywhere.

Smooth sailing,

Teri
