Ahoy, and welcome to another edition of the 7 Seas Cruise News, brought to you by Pat Crane-the world' s greatest cruise discounter. Of course, I have to say that, but will too, once you get a genuine Pat Crane discount cruise price! Pat is recovering from some minor surgery and doing very well. But let the phone ring a few extra times, because he's not moving too fast. Right now, along with recovering, he is thinking about summer vacations-yours, not his. Here are a couple of attractive possibilities you might consider. If an Eastern Caribbean 7-day cruise sounds good, how about the lovely Celebrity Century? Sail June 26 and the price is only $850 per person, double occupancy in a nice inside cabin. If a 7-night Western Caribbean sounds better, sail on June 26 aboard the Carnival Triumph, only $833 per person, double occupancy, or there's the Carnival Inspiration with a nice 7-day Western Caribbean cruise from Tampa, sailing on June 27, for as little as $753 per person, double occupancy. AND EACH OF THESE PRICES INCLUDED ALL TAXES AND PROT CHARGES! Woo-Hoo! Let's go on vacation! Call Pat about these options or the trip you've been dreaming about. Phone him, toll-free, at 1-866-424-1090, write him an e-mail at cruiseplanners7seascruises@ msn.com or just visit www.7seascruises.com to check out the possibilities! Pat is available 7 days a week, morning until 9 p.m. or so. Now and then, he takes off for the post office or we go out to eat, but otherwise, he is standing by-at your service! And now, some news??¦ Royal Caribbean International's elegant Grandeur Of The Seas arrived in the Port of Baltimore. The cruise line's first ship to sail from Maryland's scenic and historic port, Grandeur Of The Seas will offer a series of Caribbean, Bahamas/Orlando and Canada/New England cruises until Oct. 25, 2004. The 1,950-passenger Grandeur Of The Seas features the graceful profile and open design that makes her a sightseer's dream. Glass is used to dramatic effect, opening interior spaces to the sea and sky. The sunny, plant-filled Solarium features a swimming pool below a retractable glass canopy. The circular, glass-enclosed Observatory on Deck 10 is ideal for evening stargazing. Higher still, on Grandeur's uppermost Deck 11, Royal Caribbean's signature Viking Crown Lounge offers spectacular, panoramic views through floor-to-ceiling windows. Grandeur begins her Baltimore sailings with a month of nine-, 10- and 11-night roundtrip Caribbean adventures. The cruises take guests to a range of exotic ports of call, varying by itinerary, including Port Canaveral and Key West, Florida; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; St. Thomas, U.S.V.I; Oranjestad, Aruba; San Juan, Puerto Rico; Freeport, Grand Bahama Island; Cozumel, Mexico; and Belize City, Belize. Starting June 20, Grandeur will sail a weekly Bahamas/Orlando itinerary stopping at Port Canaveral and Key West, Florida; Freeport, Grand Bahama Island; and CocoCay, Royal Caribbean's private island paradise in the Bahamas Berry Island chain. Grandeur Of The Seas will conclude her time in Baltimore by alternating a 10-night Caribbean escape with an 11-night Canada/New England cruise, visiting the picturesque ports of Bar Harbor and Portland, Maine; Saint John, New Brunswick; Halifax, Nova Scotia; and Quebec City, Quebec. In November, Grandeur repositions to New Orleans for the winter where she will sail seven-night Western Caribbean itineraries, including several special holiday sailings, through spring 2005. Grandeur Of The Seas will return to Baltimore in May 2005 to offer two exciting new itineraries. Grandeur will sail alternating nine-night Caribbean and five-night Bermuda cruises through November 2005. The nine- night Caribbean cruises will call in Key West and Port Canaveral, Florida; Cozumel, Mexico; Freeport, Grand Bahama Island; and CocoCay. The exciting new five-night Bermuda itineraries will provide guests two full days and an overnight to experience the abundant beauty and charm of the Island. Grandeur will dock amid the majesty and history of the Royal Naval Dockyard (King's Wharf), the perfect gateway from which to explore Bermuda. Carnival Jubilee's summer cruise program from Jacksonville is underway through Aug. 26, 2004, and provides consumers with an exciting and value- packed summer vacation option. Four-day cruises depart on Thursdays to Freeport and Nassau, The Bahamas, and return on Mondays, creating the ideal long weekend getaway. Five-day voyages depart Mondays and Saturdays and feature Nassau and Key West, Fla. Following the Jubilee's summer program, the 1,486-passenger Celebration will assume the Jubilee's four- and five-day itineraries and launch Jacksonville's first year-round sailings beginning Oct. 12, 2004. Carnival now declares that the entire fleet will offer low-carb options as of June. Along with low- carbohydrate bread, you can find low carb appetizer selections like Vine Ripe Beefsteak Tomatoes and Fresh Buffalo Mozzarella - Marinated with Basil Leaves and Virgin Olive Oil -3 grams of carbs; Hickory Smoked Alaskan Salmon - Garnished with Purple Onion Rings, Fresh Dill and Baby Capers - 2 grams of carbs; Escargots Bourguignonne - Burgundy Snails in Garlic Butter with an Infusion of Chablis and Pernod - 5 grams of carbs; Gravlaks - Thinly Sliced Norwegian Fjord Salmon Cured with Dill and Brandy Presented with a Sour Cream Mustard Sauce - 5 grams of carbs. Low carb entr?©e selections include: Filet Mignon with Gorgonzola Butter - Aged Center-Cut Beef Tenderloin, Grilled to Perfection with Green Beans - 8 grams of carbs; Pepper-Seared Supreme of Young Long Island Duckling - Marsala Infused Purple Onion Confit, Steamed Bok Choy and Sauteed Spinach - 6 grams of carbs; Tender Roasted Prime Rib of American Beef au Jus, Cooked to Perfection - Broccoli Roses and Grilled Tomato - 4 grams of carbs; Jerked Pork Loin - Slowly Roasted Center Cut Pork Loin, Marinated in Island Spices and Herbs Sauteed Savoy Cabbage with Bacon - 6 grams of carbs. For those faithfully following Atkins, South Beach or The Zone, this is great news! Yes, I know this anti-carb business has taken a toll on Krispy Kreme, but as for the South Beach thing, hey, it works! I lost 6 pounds in my first week. And on that positive note, I'll scurry on out of here. After a long weekend in Orlando introducing daughter #3 to Mickey Mouse (amazing, huh? First visit at 26!?), we are early-to-bed tonight! Until next week, smooth sailing??¦ Teri |
