Greetings and Happy Halloween, Cruise Fans This week, I want to begin with a hearty welcome aboard to all of our new subscribers. We are delighted to add you to our list of subscribers, clients and friends. Pat astounds me with the number of clients he knows by name. I hope you'll become frequent visitors to the website and call 1- 866-424-1090 often. Nothing makes Pat happier than saving a client money on a cruise. He'll be pleased to do the same for you, too! This week, we have a bit of news, so here we go??¦ Carnival Cruise Lines is offering new one-night, pre- and post-cruise hotel packages at the luxurious Adam's Mark Jacksonville Hotel in conjunction with new year-round "Fun Ship" cruises from Jacksonville, Fla. Beginning January 2005, the one-night hotel packages can be combined with four- and five-day cruise departures aboard the 1,486- passenger Celebration. Four-day cruises visit Freeport and Nassau, while five-day voyages feature Key West and Nassau. The largest hotel in northeast Florida, the Adam's Mark Jacksonville Hotel features 996 rooms, 110,000 square feet of meeting space, four restaurants and bars, and a full- service rooftop health club and pool overlooking stunning views of the St. Johns River and surrounding cityscape. Located along the newly developed north riverbank boardwalk, the hotel is situated in the heart of the downtown business district and only minutes from various local attractions, including the Jacksonville Landing, Center for Performing Arts, Florida Theatre, Alltell Stadium, golf courses, shopping and beaches. Prices for the one-night hotel stays begin at $53 per person, based on double occupancy. Holland America Line features an exciting array of Alaska and Yukon CruiseTour itineraries in 2005 with extra time for in-depth exploration in Denali National Park, Kluane National Park, Kenai Fjords National Park, and newly added, Tombstone Territorial Park. This remote and unique, sub- arctic landscape north of Dawson City in the Canadian Yukon is the setting for an exclusive new program of tours and guided hikes. Expanded Dawson City Klondike Gold Rush activities and numerous additional wilderness adventures such as hiking, flightseeing, scenic tours by jeep and boat, bird watching and golfing are also part of the line's 2005 season of 28 CruiseTours. CruiseTours also highlight more time in Denali National Park. All 28 CruiseTours include the complete six-hour Denali Tundra Wilderness Tour for 71 percent more wildlife viewing and better Mt. McKinley viewpoints. Holland America Line offers the most "Double Denali" Cruisetours featuring a second full day at the Park and four new itineraries will travel directly between the ship in Seward and Denali National Park for a quicker transfer to the wilderness. Additionally, every CruiseTour also includes travel aboard the new McKinley Explorer' luxury dome railcars, two nights at the new lodge at the McKinley Chalets at Denali National Park and one or two nights at the expanded Fairbanks Westmark Hotel. As far as I'm concerned, it would be a toss up between Holland America and Princess when it comes to these magnificent tour options. Princess has their own gorgeous lodges, but Holland America pioneered cruise-touring in Alaska and it's hard to argue with two days in fantastic Denali instead of one. Whichever you like, Pat will be glad to get you the very best discounted fare! With increased South America capacity in 2005-06, Princess offers more passengers than ever the opportunity to escape to the sultry and exciting destinations of Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aries and Machu Picchu. To help plan the perfect South America vacation, Princess Cruises has issued a new 54-page brochure featuring cruise options aboard Regal Princess and full cruisetour adventures. Call Pat if you'd like a copy! Regal Princess' first South America season features a number of itineraries that have become passenger favorites, plus a new Brazilian Adventure sailing and a new cruisetour option in Rio. Princess' December 2005 to April 2006 South America season includes: AROUND CAPE HORN -- Passengers can round the fabled Cape Horn with Regal Princess' popular Cape Horn/ Strait of Magellan itinerary between Santiago and Buenos Aries, now a 13-day cruise. Sailings depart between January 29 and March 9, 2006 and include scenic cruising of Chile' s dramatic fjords and a stop in the Falkland Islands in addition to the passage around the southernmost tip of the continent. CRUISETOURS -- The Cape Horn itinerary can also be combined with one of three pre- or post- cruise land tours for a full 17- or 18-day land/sea vacation. Options include a new Rio de Janeiro tour, "Parks and Peaks of Rio," plus intriguing "Rio and Iguazu Falls" and "Machu Picchu Explorer" packages. BRAZILIAN ADVENTURE -- Regal Princess also debuts a new Brazilian Adventure route, an 18-day voyage from Ft. Lauderdale to Rio de Janeiro, departing December 21, that calls at four additional Brazilian ports -- Bel?©m, Fortaleza, Recife and Salvador -- as well as some of the most interesting islands in the Caribbean. UP THE AMAZON -- Passengers can also choose to explore the legendary Amazon River with two sailings on a 12-day itinerary between Ft. Lauderdale and Manaus, departing April 7 and 19, 2006. The Amazon River adventure includes several stops in the Caribbean plus calls along the mighty river itself. ANDES -- The Andes Mountains and the ruins of Machu Picchu highlight a 16-day Andes/ South America voyage from Santiago to Ft. Lauderdale. Passengers on this March 22, 2006 sailing will also enjoy a transit through the locks of the Panama Canal. ANTARCTICA -- One of the most noteworthy itineraries in Princess' Connoisseur Adventure Cruise lineup, Princess' Antarctica voyage, presents a new itinerary in 2006 aboard a new vessel. Regal Princess takes over the journey of a lifetime, which now sails from Rio de Janeiro to Santiago on January 8, 2006. The adventure includes four days of scenic cruising along the Antarctic Peninsula plus visits to popular South American ports. Can you imagine anything better? South America in the winter and Alaska in the summer? Well, perhaps a few Bahamas, Caribbean or Mexican Riviera trips in between. Speaking of Caribbean, Pat just came across some great rates aboard the Celebrity Horizon, sailing from Tampa. These are 10-day cruises and hit some fabulous deep Western Caribbean ports, including Grand Cayman; Puerto Limon, Costa Rica (butterflies as big as your head!); Colon, Panama; Roatan, Honduras (try the Port Royal beer!); and Cozumel. Prices are great! You can sail November 19 for $683 per person, double occupancy including all taxes and port charges. This includes Thanksgiving and the rate is available of everyone. Or, you can sail the same itinerary on December 10 for $633 (inside cabin senior rate only) or $733 (oceanview for anyone), again including all taxes and port charges; or celebrate New Year's at sea and sail December 31 for $833 per person (everyone is welcome), with all taxes and port charges included. These are legitimate key account fares which Pat can legally sell-although most agents can't. For a 10-day voyage, these are wonderful prices. And they include top-notch shows and all that wonderful Celebrity food! Just think what a nice holiday present any of these would be! And on that exciting note, I will go answer the door and hand out some more candy. Pat has promised to eat all the leftovers, so I am trying to give away as much as possible tonight. Hope your Halloween was great, your candidates all win (unless that means beating my candidates, of course), and you have a great week of gentle breezes and smooth seas??¦ Teri |
